That’s funny I was the complete opposite yesterday. First hit for months and and I hit 3 drives through cover point off the first tee!
The next couple of hours I hit low snap hooks off the tee but my irons were as pure as I ever hit them and I was hitting greens for fun, short game was really on too.
The only bloody club I couldn’t hit was driver but by the end of the day it wasn’t going too bad.

Two days, two rounds, two courses. Peninsula Kingswood.done. Fatigue set in today in the last 1/4 of holes. Before that I was enjoying some good ball striking and driving especially.

Another 9 after work at Hillview. Played a little better than last night. Started with a couple of pars. Driving, dare I say it, is coming together more just from taking a slower, more controlled swing. Bunker shots saved me again. Putting was pathetic. Shanked two iron shots too. So frustrating.

I’m really struggling with Hillview. It’s in really poor shape. Even landing on the fairway doesn’t guarantee a playable lie with clumps of weedy grass and sand everywhere.

But really I’m just making excuses for playing shit...

Knocked off at lunch and went for a round in the Wednesday comp.

27 points (14 plus 13). Happy enough.Wiped but never picked up (I tend to still play that one shot after scoring finishes and pick up after that if it’s a quiet day - we were the last group today so not holding anyone up).

day included a 5 putt though. On a par 3 after I was within 5m of the green off the tee. Too many weetbix today obviously.

i was in two minds. I watch a lot of rick shiels videos on YouTube and he’s always about always use your putter. But i did a good chip on the hole before so I thought I was Phil Mickelson

i was in two minds. I watch a lot of rick shiels videos on YouTube and he’s always about always use your putter. But i did a good chip on the hole before so I thought I was Phil Mickelson

Im shithouse using my putter anywhere off the green. For some reason find the PW or 9 iron easier. Almost prefer using them for long putts! [emoji28]

After waiting months without play due to lock down I have heard the groundskeeper has accidentally damaged all 18 greens during the break.
