I would do it.....when the course was empty and having a few cans with mates laughing at each other racking up big scores.

I've failed to get on the card before in a 4ball comp. Still hear about it to this day.

2 ball worst ball looks like a fun way to play a round one day for something different. Anyone done it?

No - but I DO like the concept for a laugh.
At least off the tee, or maybe the 2nd shot on each par 4.
Otherwise the "better" golfer suffers badly

Maybe I described it badly...you always hit 2 balls. You always play your worst outcome. You don't have a partner. Probably not a comp thing.

I would love to watch really good golfers have a crack at it. It would put a lot of pressure on them. Hackers would just be ugly.

I don’t mind the concept for hackers. Make it stableford scoring and make them sweat for a point when your partners in for par

That would work but be frustrating for the good golfer. Better shots from the hacker would be rare but gold

we often do 4bbb where second ball counts. in comp round too.

So, pair off. Example

Team Strike Force:
Player A: 4 for 2
Player B: 5 for 2

Team Discovery Channel:
Player C: 4 for 2
Player D: 5 for 1

Best score between the teams is "2 points". So its a draw. But wait. We count the second ball too! Player B has 2 points, Player D has 1. TEAM STRIKE FORCE WINS THE HOLE!

Yeah you could only probably do it for shits and giggles late in the arvo with no one around. I think it would be really good training for guns to become mentally tough.

I played a rural country course today. It has an honesty box $15 for 9 holes. $22 for 18.
I played 2 balls separately from the 2 tee boxes on each hole. It took me just under 2 hours to play the 18 holes but I only walked 9 and paid only $15.

Up until a few years ago I wouldn’t have hesitated. The last couple of years I have played begrudgingly. This year I’ve protected my back more because cold weather is when I injure it. Muscular problems that can flare up in the cold weather.

Man, how can NSW have 100+ cases a day and are allowed to play, VIC around 15 or so but can't....
