How'd you go?
Pulled the pin. Probably would've got away for the 1st 9 but would've been drenched on the back 9. Played a simulator in Mordiallic. It was my mates birthday (the member at National). Then went for lunch in Elwood. We played Bethpage black in the simulator. I won. 🤣. He won the A grade comp on Wednesday(?) and Saturday at National. Net 69 on Saturday. I'm that mate he can never beat. I've got x2 mates I can't beat. So I know how he feels.

Armageddon didn't eventuate yesterday.
Some light drizzle in patches, not a breath of wind, hardly anyone on the course, perfectly set up for a great round...but nup, played like :poo:
Wiped 4 of the 1st 6 holes.
For some reason i hit nearly every tee shot off the hozel. Never done that before.
Fought back for 27 pts.
Off to the Cups for 9 now. Try to sort out my swing.

32 at Gunnamatta (National)

Great course, good fun, tough conditions. Drove really well, had 12 putts for birdie in first 14 holes. Eagle from 8 feet a touch short on the first. Let's just say my putter was horrible at times. Wind was all over. Into it it felt early then with it a few holes later, holes going the same direction? But needed a compass it was all over the place.

Last four holes 2 points and 2 wipes I think it was n the last two.

Disappointing way but off 11 guess I can't really be too upset with how I was playing.

Highlights were the 3 wood from 245m at the first second swing of the day into a slight breeze. And a 320m bomb with the howling gale hehe on the 4th maybe? Lowlights wedge from 80 going 110 on the 15th into a breeze, maybe I pulled th wrong club out. And putting. Putting all day.

1 and 4 go in the same direction. Unless the wind changed one may feel your bomb was on another hole? Then again maybe not! Putting is difficult on the course given its its only defence.

Were you able to partake in the food and beverage?

I think it was 4. but i mucked it up with another whole. that one I went over the left edge of the right bunker and it ran for days.

Can't remember the whole but the wind felt like it changed at times. Very tough course.

I had the junior burger after being warned off the National Burger.

Also wanted a course guide booklet, but couldn't find one, would have been a good one for the collection.

That suggests 4 to me. Was it a par 4?

I concur the junior burger is perfectly adequate. Nash burger i insist my first time guests order just to see the look on their faces. haha. i once hosted 3 americans and they were suitably impressed.

i hope you enjoyed the day, and the f&b which i feel is restaurant quality.

i thought we have course guides at the pro shop.

Yes Par 4.

Overall it was a good return after 5 years since I last played and keen to get back to play Moonah one day. Food was very good price point for the quality as well.

Hmm might have to pop by again and grab a course guide, send me a pic next time you in their PN.

It might have something to do with the Playing Conditions Calculation which adjusts a score based on what the expected s'ford score should have been? But really, I have no idea. Have tried to understand this so many times, and failed.

Yeh same

Think ive worked it out

I think max your allowed to enter in a score is 'net double bogey'

So if you dont get a shot on a hole and its par 4, the most you can score is 6 when calculating handicap

And if you do get a shot, par 4 + 1 shot + double bogey = max 7

Everything just gets converted back to a stableford score.
