Played Growling Frog today, first time.

Very nice course. Bunkers are well positioned and present genuine challenges. Which gave me ample opportunities to practice my bunker escape shots today.

I shit the bed a bit on the front 9 but came good on the back 9 and salvaged 25 stableford points total for the day. Still below what I expect of myself, so overall disappointed in my showing.

But loved the course. Absolutely perfect conditions too

37 points today, now down to 16.5. A run of good flags are about to drop off so will need to maintain this form. My next goal is to break 80, which is not easy to do at Lang Lang.

Speaking of, the course has never been in better shape so if you’re thinking of heading down for a hit, now is the time. Greens are being cored at the end of the month so get in now!

Teed off at 1 pm Waterford valley yesterday, 3 man ambrose (two 12 handicappers and a 20)...dreadful conditions, rain hit us at 7th tee. 4 under after 9. We didn't convert 2 eight foot chances and had a 20 footer hit the pin and jump out. Felt like we could have been easy 6 or 7 under. I was on fire using my first 5 approaches and last 2. Used both my tee shots on the par 3s and 4 drives. Thunder and lightning hit us on the 10th and the greens were totally screwed with water. Pulled the pin.

Collier, Lakes course today.
47 off the stick.

Driver form held up, irons are in a diabolically bad spot right now. 0 confidence in grip or back swing, several times I chunked it twice in a row from 120m out after hitting 260m+ straight drives.

I did hit this though and had a chip from a metre off the green for eagle! Ended up with birdie which was nice, I don’t get many opportunities for either!

Horrific conditions at the national. thats all ill say
Dumbarnie today. Howling winds, 3 - 4 club difference. Started with a penalty into a water hazard off the first, 51 at the turn, finished with 97. Somehow finished with the same ball I started with.
Beautiful course.
Don’t you fellas ever think to yourself that there’s always better days ahead to play golf?
