Phillip Island. I emailed the club and they said its was a veterns day. I dont think it means any pro's are playing or anything because they have pro comp all over the syllabus.
Let a great round slip today but not to many complaints here. Ended up with 35 points which I'm very happy with given my recent form.
Got around very quickly today (Probably just over 3.5 hours) in a group of 4 and all were great blokes. Makes a big difference if you ask me. Nothing worse than a slow round and average company when you just think you'd rather be elsewhere
My last 3 rounds have been very frustrating. Wednesday I had 16pts for the first 10 holes and then finished with 21pts on the final 8 holes.
Friday I played away from my home course in a stroke event. I shot 51 (par 35) on the front and then finished with 42 shots on the back (par 37). I was 1 over off the stick for the last 6 holes.
Today I had 14pts for the first 10 holes and then 20pts for the last 8.
Had another crap one on saturday, 25pts. In perfect golfing conditions.
Our local course is sloped 122 but always plays harder. Its a par 70 but DSR is always 71,72 minimum. The DSR on saturday was 74 in perfect conditions, was a really good chance to smash the cap down and i wasted it.
How does the slope get calculated? Its like they forget to take into consideration the shrub and the chance of lost balls and 3 off the tees.
Would you play with strangers at 11am in windy conditions and a temp of about 18 degrees?
Or
Would you play with mates at 7am in windy conditions with a likely temp of 5 degrees and warming to about 13 degrees?

I shot 86/71 today. Par 70 at City Golf Club but the DSR was 72. Very windy. The winner had a 68 net. Very unlucky not to win. I had 3 lip out and also had a quadruple bogey with out of character bunker problems. The field size was 215 and the slope was 130.
I played golf with a bloke 9 days ago who did this. I said to him "how can you be sure it isn't someone else's ball."
He said that there was no one else around.
That we could see, that is!
