pared first hole.

something happened in the middle.

pared another hole.

lost 3 balls on the 15th, 16th, or 17th. cant remember.

anyway, amazing experience. aside from my group, only 3 others on the whole course!! clubhouse is sweet. locker room? walk through a sitting area, old school, then lockers - nice.

putting green - 18 holes

driving range, only 4 of us there.

course is in immaculate condition of course.

caddy supplied. carts with eskys. like gold class you can order food and they'll bring it out. lulz.

ive played captial about half a dozen times and whilst it is true that they look after you the course is laughably bad. Lower tier sandbelt courses like Southern, Spring Valley and Keysborough shit all over it. Those little box hedges on the tees are bloody distracting too

the prestige or perception of is where its at. as a course, well challenging in parts but yeah i think there are better ones.

box hedge tee box are different. means u can hook and slice within a few metres. lol

playing this course this week:

The Faldo Course at Mission Hills is China's first "stadium course" and features the region's only island green at the par-3 16th.

Haven't played of a course with greens for a fair while being in a rural area. Gotta love having sheep in the middle of the fairway and scrapes instead of greens.

lol. what happens if you hit a sheep?

would be a cool experience i gotta say. i mean, roos on courses is common in certain areas. i reckon it adds to the beauty!

off to mission hills tomorrow. hopefully the caddy is a welcoming and engaging one before and after hours.

your allowed your shot from about where the sheep was. They arent on the course all the time, just when the grass needs a bit of a mow and you get roos all the time but that happens in the city too im guessing.

Very jealous of my best mate at the moment. :(

He is currently at Augusta for the Masters and just called me to say he is on his way to the Par 3 tournament today. He is part of the tour group which has Corey McKernan as the host. Greg Blewett is also in this tour group (my mate plays at the same local course here in Adelaide that Blewett does). Last week they played at Pebble Beach and Spyglass Hill. After the Masters, they go down and play the TPC championship course at Sawgrass.

I have walked around Pebble Beach but I would loved to have played there. It is heaven on earth

My first even par round in a long long lon...... forever.

It's a tad easier than my home course but I'm claiming it, 32 off the stick.

Shot a 79 yesterday on my local, Neanger Park in Bendigo, which is par 71.

Playing off 13 so had a net 66.

Just checked golflink this morning and my handicap is down to 9 now after that round. Apparently if you've put in less than 8 cards your handicap goes off your best score. From then after it begins to be averaged.

Was quite surprised, but certainly don't feel like a single figure handicap player.

Heritage, Kingston Links and Albert Pk next weekend on a Melbourne trip with me mate from Perth. Can't wait.

Be interesting to see what Heritage does to that handicap! Sounds like a good weekend though :thumbsu:

I'm expecting heritage to bring me back to reality. We are playing the Henley, but I heard St. John is better??

Will it change my handicap at all thou? As its just a social round and not a comp I don't expecting to be using my golflink card. I think my handicap should be around 15. My local is a pretty easy course. Rating 69 I think.

hi all

played the Dye course at Mission Hills Shenzhen yesterday. day included
- caddy
- cart
- hired clubs
- slow, SLOW greens
- soggy under foot at times due to rain overnight
- great experience.

the Dye course runs alongside the Faldo one in parts. Lots of rough, but dont worry, the caddy is diligent in finding your ball.

think i had 113 off the stick.

Mission hills as a club is huge. i stayed in one of their hotels next to the vijay designed course i think (floodlit fairways for night golf). then had to take a shuttle bus to anotehr clubhouse to check in for my round - around 20 mins away.

golf in heaven!!

Probably not then. I've only played the Henley myself, found it pretty enjoyable, easy to have a blow out or two though. Have heard the same thing about St Johns too. Should be a good experience anyway!

My last round was an 82 at Elcho Park in Lara with my social club, considering i'm your average hacker playing off 19, i was very happy with that score. Ended the day 8 under the card.

Round before that was here http://www.balihandarakosaido.com/ shot 110 , could not get the hang of the greens, off the tee i was hitting 200 plus, but everything else went to shite. Had 43 putts.

good evening.

after a 2 month hiatus i hit the national today - moonah course. lots of time on the range with the wedges and irons, 1 drive (straight and long), and 3 praccy putts. lack of putts was not good for the first few holes.

but then it clicked. drives where straight generally, but as fatigue set in i started gently fading off the tee. like kobe reading the defence, adjusted. second and third shots? 7-9 irons felt good man. the shaft felt light, soft but not flaccid. the club did the work. unlucky getting into greenside bunkers with great shots from 120m approx as my ball often clipped the lip and rolled back.

with a handful of wipes my final score of 37 pts was amazeballs. winrar had 43.

i dedicated todays game to my new ian poulter shirt and jumper

That can happen after a break. You forget all the crap that you've been doing wrong and go out with no expectations.

37pts with a handful of wipes is something i can only dream about. If i wipe 2 holes I'm lucky to finish with 36.

Mirin Poulter jumper. Did you get it off his website or a golf store?

p.s strong scooter

i acquired said apparel at mission hills gc. poults really does bring style and glamour to the golf course. clothes are comfortable and functional.

Played my first round for about 6 months earlier today, and just like PN started like an absolute champ - nailing greens, long drives, everything, for about say... 5 holes.

Then it was a little downhill. I dunno if it's fatigue or what, but I lost my swing shape and starting coming over the top and everything; at one point I had so much shit going through my head I actually stopped and hesitated at the top of my backswing Charles Barkley style lolololol....

Anyway, was fun. Also mirin Poults' jumper.

What did you think of the Handara Kosaido course? Im heading over in a couple of weeks and taking the clubs - going to play 2 rounds (but hoping to get in 2 then do the sunset golf after 3pm on one of the other courses). Its the furthest course from where im staying... like hour and half drive. Worth it?

Well worth the trip, the course and the surrounds were sensational. The drive up through the countryside was fantastic as well. The course itself whilst not looking to challenging, don't let that deceive you. If you go in the rough the ball stops dead due to the low cloud creating dampness, it is quite heavy, and you need to make sure you get the ball up coming from the rough otherwise you will stay in. As i mentioned the greens were dynamite, even though the caddy gives you the line, you still have to be able to follow that instruction. I'm sure you will enjoy the day regardless of score.

In saying that not the best in Bali i've played, if you can afford a full round try and play Bali Nirwana, best course i've ever played and would play again if i ever venture back to Bali.
