Well worth the trip, the course and the surrounds were sensational. The drive up through the countryside was fantastic as well. The course itself whilst not looking to challenging, don't let that deceive you. If you go in the rough the ball stops dead due to the low cloud creating dampness, it is quite heavy, and you need to make sure you get the ball up coming from the rough otherwise you will stay in. As i mentioned the greens were dynamite, even though the caddy gives you the line, you still have to be able to follow that instruction. I'm sure you will enjoy the day regardless of score.

In saying that not the best in Bali i've played, if you can afford a full round try and play Bali Nirwana, best course i've ever played and would play again if i ever venture back to Bali.
Cheers. Yeah im almost 100% sure one of the rounds will be at Nirwana. New Kuta or Handara Kosaido will be the other one. Day trip to Handara Kosaido then sunset golf another day at New Kuta could be the go. :)

off to Eynesbury in 40 mins and again tomorrow morning.

first time at the course - looking fwd to it, by all accounts greens and pin positions are critical

Best of luck, played there a few times and it's got some nice holes. A couple of strategically placed bunkers keep it interesting, and don't bother laying up on the 18th. ;)

after recovering from a kobe bryant like injury, took on the moonah course at national last sunday.

everything went my way, much like for the poms in the ashes. errant tee shot, hit a provvy, find the first one sitting up in the rough hit them flush from everywhere. wedges worked well, although used my fairway and green savvy to keep the ball low out of the gale winds.

putting? put it this way, putting from some 15m,downhill. pushed it right, ball ran over a worm, worm started humping ball and the ball moved sideways towards the hole. easy tap in. lol

40 points, no wipes.

Asians do better in windy conditions. Less moving parts

Apart from the ice eynesbury was a good track, and carried the creek on 18 by 30 meters

Great thread and makes me miss golf. Where I live the prices for green fees are about 100 Aussie dollars, sure they look like nice courses but I just can't afford that.

So instead I picked up an Xbox 360 for 50 euros and tiger woods 2012 for 8 euros off the Internet.

Shot 69 at pebble beach last week. Living the dream

hi all how have your been?

decided stupidly to tackle the 60 plus km/hr winds at the National on Monday, 730 tee off. Thankfully no comp so no scores were recorded. really enjoyed the first 18 played on the Moonah course. love the course so much. Love it long time. either hit into or with the wind essentially.

then went stupid on the Ocean course. only survived 9 holes before fatigue and winds got the better of us. at times ball wouldnt stay still upon putting approach.

Had an 89 at royal Perth last week. With about 40 putts
Had an 89 at royal Perth the week before with about 30 putts.

Funny how the game can treat you so differently, yet the results are the same

fairway, green, rough conditions, humidity, temperature, wind strength, wind direction. all different on any given day.

Played Port Fairy and Horsham last week. Gee Horsham has changed a lot since the last time I was there, completely different atmosphere now. Still in great condition, should have asked if the greens had been cored tho when I rang, rookie error.

yep, its a wonderful and diverse game

such a frustrating one at that! one that always brings us back cause we think a great round is coming up.

i love golf also for the fresh air and incidental exercise via walking. also, the club im a member at, has stunning views and once on the course you cant hear cars.

Very similar, as I enjoy the game for the nice walks up wide fairways in nice weather and just being out in nature. I wish the walks down fairways would happen more regularly due to my shit drives always landing somewhere in the trees!

Been playing shit lately, considering bashing 150 balls tomorrow at the range due to not being able to play this week.

Considering I live a stones throw from Murray Downs its about time I suit up and pull out the irons. Heading down there in the morning, pretty bloody pumped.

how were the greens? cored about 4 weeks ago from memory? stunning track in the middle of nowhere

seeemed really good. on the slow side but that helped me. hit 90 off the stick pretty happy considering 2nd round in 15 months. So went again today and hit 90 again ha.

Will fork out for a membership for the rest of the year $120 is unreal.

$120 = wow, assume that is a pro-rata rate.

Have a "boys" trip up there in March, cannot wait...even the club itself has the potential to go off on a Friday nite.

Yeah thats it. Should be able to sneak in 5 or so rounds before harvest starts, then not sure after that. But that will still pay for it.

You will need to hit up Barrels in Swan Hill after doing a number on yourself at the country club. Disgusting establishments up here haha.

the only way to enjoy Swan Hill is to be a state where you don't remember it.

Back to Golf. I need to get back to the range and sort out my swing again. Got bad habits that I had corrected but with basically not playing for 15months, I have lost all the good work I put in place.

its a frustrating game:

played saturday, 36 front 9 (1 over) 45 back 9 (9 over) ahhhhhhhhhhh

Played today, went pretty average for my standards. Was hitting better with the irons but still stuff up really easy shots. That's golf I suppose.
