Driver ok. Funny how other parts of your game decide to chime in and wreck the score. Bladed a wedge, couple of 3 putts, left one in a bunker…sheesh.
Having said that, how freakin good is this weather for golf? Sorry to the farmers but this is an endless summer so far

What's the ettiquette around pulling out of a round the morning of a 4BBB comp? Notice a fair chuck of our tee sheet this morning has pulled out no doubt because of the weather. I'll play and expect my partner to play but assume you wouldn't be thrilled if your partner pulled out especially as it's the first round of a board event.

If the puller outerer is known to the group or playing partner I’d think surely he or she would notify the other.

But if he she is unknown. To the group it’s not the end of the world. Can play 4bbb as a three

Might have had 33-34.
Some good signs mixed with the usual.
Haven’t been that cold and wet on a golf course in a long time.

I buggered up my right hand January, which resulted in a shooting pain through my middle fingers every time I stuck a golf ball.

Pretty much on the bench since then. Gutted through one comp round last month for an abominable 20 points, plus an Ambrose round that I added no value to.

Back and pain free today, net 73. Absolutely thrilled, conditions were horrible. Non stop rain for first 8 holes, then more rain on back nine. Completely saturated, wet hands, wet grips, kept it together, other than 2 triples which cost me a much better score. Irons were particularly strong, which had been my Achilles heel pre hiatus.

24 pts, GA blown out by 1.2 shots.
Just completely lost my swing, which is strange as I had a bucket of balls prior to my round and was hitting them well.
Such a complex game.

40 points at City Golf Club today. I ended up winning in a field of 121. My first win in at least 6 years. Could be longer.
Some stuff finally clicked yesterday in regards to my swing. My only rounds to handicap or better have been my last three rounds where the comp has been played off the ladies (red) tees. 36, 37 and 40 points! These weren’t my last three rounds in a row btw.
