Have a week booked in St Andrews next April. 6 chances at the ballot. Fingers crossed.

They say it’s 1 in 7, so you should get it. I got it on my third attempt.

Will be wet, inside and out.

My old man had a hole in this week at the age of 78 at Aston Hills golf club near Mt Barker here in Adelaide.

There is still hope for me yet to get one.

There was an open tee at Sorrento yesterday. I teed off early with two other blokes. Threesomes of ladies ahead and behind us. We struggled to keep pace with the ahead group and our chasers were on us all day.

Finished in under 3.5 hours.

I don’t know what to make of this.

Heading to Barnbougle in the morning.
Watch the weather turn to crap
Excited nonetheless.

We need to organise a BF Golf trip to Barnbougle….i’m happy to get the ball rolling on this. Couple of groups would be good.

Played at a resort course in queensland the other day. Wow, sooooo slow. What is it with golfers who drive to one players ball, he hits, then they both drive to the next which isnt far away? Why not drop off player 1, and player 2 carts to his ball?

And whats the obsession with fetching balls out of the water? I mean not just your ball but minutes wasted finding more and more.

31pts
Going ok then pulled a drive left into tea tree, partner saw it bounce out into bracken. I find it low down in the scrub and smash a wedge at it, gets out into bunker. Take 9 iron, launch it to green edge, chip and putt, 5/2.
On next tee(3rd) standing over ball…it’s not mine! So 3rd is a wipe, 4th is a wipe (mentally unstable).
What else?

Queenslanders mate. 😂
Seriously though, I don’t care about driving to each ball as I believe that you can’t play your best golf when you’re playing like that. Some exceptions obviously when each player is on opposite sides of the fairway, etc.
it all comes down to golfers showing some urgency. If this happens you can get around the golf course in 3.5 to 4 hours.

Why are they playing in carts in the first place?

It's 22-23 deg up there at the moment and these courses have no hills.

I concur. I guess its resort golf so there's a mix of abilities and course etiquette. But that's what it is, and its M.O is fun for all.

Which course btw?
I’m planning on playing at Sanctuary Cove in August when my wife goes there for 5 nights for work. I’ll stay a couple of nights as well on the quiet and play somewhere else on the Goldie!
