Yeh true, didnt think of it like that

Im trying to figure out my handicap so dont necessarily have the ability to do stableford until i know my handicap

I have plenty of rounds, but just trying to convert it properly
The big green machine at Golf Australia will automatically give you a handicap as soon as you submit your three cards.

Speaking of handicaps, having a low mark can make for tough golf. Nick O'Hern is playing par at Sorrento this morning off +4. After 4 holes he was lying 1 under par, which made 2 down in the comp.

Hudson Junior Invitational this week

Past winners include Rickie Fowler (2005)

Long way to go--but really nice opening round at least

Had a nice time in the UK and Ireland. Ended up playing the following courses...

Royal County Down
Ardglass
Royal Portrush
Castlerock
Port Stewart
Donegal
Sligo
Enniscrone
Carne
Lahinch
Doonbeg
Ballybunion
Tralee
Old Head
Portmarnock
The Island
Crail
St Andrews Jubilee
Old Course
Elie
Cruden Bay
Royal Aberdeen
Carnoustie
Nairn
Royal Dornoch
Brora
Dunbar
North Berwick
Royal Troon
Western Gailes
Prestwick

Had all time luck with the weather. Was mostly beautiful and sunny. Played about 15 or 16 holes in the rain the entire trip.
Amazing stuff.

Tough question but as a general rule did you overall enjoy the Irish or Scottish golf experience more do you think?

Irish golf is more natural, rugged and crazy. Lots of giant dunes, elevation changes, bends etc.

Scottish golf is much flatter with subtle slopes, runoff’s and careful bunkering.

I genuinely can’t separate. If you could only go to one destination I’d say pick either. Maybe Scotland edges ahead because of St Andrews.

Top 10 would be…
The Old Course
Royal Dornoch
Royal County Down
Lahinch
Carne
Elie
North Berwick
Portmarnock
Cruden Bay
Western Gailes

So that 6 Scottish and 4 Irish.

Weather has shortened tournament to 2 rounds. Alex finished his round, shooting 76 today.

Par 3's killed him today going +3.

Will finish inside top 10, bunch of kids need to finish 2nd round tomorrow.

Good effort, just not his day on the short ones

How was Old Head?
Wouldn’t be pleasant on a windy day.

Beautiful course. Not a links though. I played it on a really windy day, was tough. Had to commit to crazy lines like aiming directly out into the ocean and trusting the wind would bring your ball back 50m to the green on the side of a cliff.

So, a certain boy can never say he didn't ever get a good break in golf.

Weather washed out round 2.

Became one round tournament.

Put his name alongside Daly, Mickelson and Fowler as a winner at the Hudson Junior Invitational. 😉

Played Flinders yesterday. Great experience, awesome views…finished in the dark. Great experience but no need to go back.
Cape Schank today in clear blue skies. Greens are absolutely mint, very KH. Short course that requires intelligence. Take driver when not necessary and you pay the price. Hit it pretty well, parred the last four, probably low 80’s off the stick. Liked it a lot.

Player a comp at Kwinana today.
Rough in the rain.

One bloke won a free set of Takomo clubs on a random ‘wheel of fortune’, his team won overall best with -8 and he hit a hole in one behind us (apparently, they were playing on their own, not with another pair and were filming afterwards, I’m skeptical)

After 6 days sick in bed, it's Kingston Heath tomorrow

Should be a bit of fun

Fill your divots and repair pitch marks and rake the farking bunkers!!!
Enjoy.
On #3 take a 5or6 iron, aim directly at left fairway bunker. You’ll then have a wedge looking straight up the green. Please.

I've played KH quite a few times, and always find amazing ways to stuff up.
Course management is NOT a strength of mine😥
