And I can’t blame the greens because right now they are as pure as can be.

Played Riversdale today. First hole 197 metres to the pin...how can a ball roll along the ground all the way down a massive valley....then up a massive hill...then up the green and stop 1 cm short. Lol nearly had the worst hole in one in history.

I didn't notice anything at all Pres I was in rage mode all day long, blood pressure through the roof with how terrible I played sadly.

There are plans to redo the whole place but I doubt it will get past the members.

i rmember when they redid parts of the course, including the first. the aprons were rough as guts

I was in a group with 3 oldies last week, the eldest being 84. We had a foursome ahead of us - looked like uni student age - who were doing the classic slow playing but oblivious to it. Nothing particularly bad but when combined, leaving buggies on wrong greensides, walking without purpose, no ready play - added up to slow play.

The 84yo, a real character, was vociferous in his criticism. At one stage he remarked to us, "Just gave them a dirty look from the tee."

To which one of his playing partners responded, 'Freddy, you are sitting in a cart with a beanie and sunglasses on. They can't fwucken see ya."

Quite amusing.

Great morning for golf but 4 hours sleep after working late meant I wiped the first 4 holes with really weird decision making. Settled down to finish with 26 but recent run of good form seems to be over for now. Short game and putting is really hurting me.

Massive barney between a youngish hothead and three old blokes at my local on Friday over slow play and the oldies refusing to let him through.

My son took video of about half of it...approximately 10 minutes all up. No punches thrown but pretty dam close and a few times the oldies grabbed clubs to protect them selves. A million very loud expletives and lots of threats made. Probably be on the news if he posted it somewhere.

Practically unplayable at National today. Lots of shellshocked faces around. Lost a number of balls. A score in the 20s was considered good

To right it was impossible at the Dunes.
Daily rating was +3!
Only time I’ve seen it higher was a +4 a couple of months back.
One of my playing partners won the comp with 36pts, exceptional rd from him.
I finished just outside the top 10 with 28pts.
Was ok off the tee, putting was almost impossible, 42 putts.
On the 12th I hit a 7W through the green from 185m out.
Next hole par 3 into the wind same club 135m.
