Just about the worst conditions I’ve played in today at the Dunes…thank god it didn’t rain.
Putting was almost impossible, 7 x 3 putts and 1x 4 putts.
Somehow scrambled 31 pts.
Good to see the pros stinking it up down the road at Moonah.

Old Course and walking PN?

Playing yesterday in the heat while battling a shocking man flu was probably a mistake. Played some lovely shots, had way more putts for birdie than usual (didn’t make a single one though) but don’t remember the last few holes or the drive home.

I seem to have completely lost the ability to hit my 9 iron or PW, which can be a problem at Lang Lang.

Still 31 points for a 3rd straight round in the 30’s, which isn’t bad given I’m playing less frequently.

Played RM East on Wednesday. Just sublime.

These Sandbelt courses should really be classified as national museums with the paying public allowed to visit and inspect upon payment of a $50 fee.
So true. I love the East, you get a chance to have a crack at a few par 5's with 3 Wood, there's an awesome par 3 (not on the composite) - I personally love the short 4 you play once you've crossed the road (#5 I think)... gets me every time for some reason!!

Played Kooringal for the first time today. Very challenging course (by my novice/amateur standards). Was pretty happy to "only" lose one ball today, and it wasn't even in the water or OOB - just hit it into some trees and couldn't find it for the life of me.

Usual issues today - drove it off the tee well and found fairways more often than not. Then my irons let me down. It's a work in progress.

Great course though, had a fantastic day and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Royal Box Hill tonight for 9 and a cool refreshment or two.
KH has been sanded. Played Ambrose last Saturday, hopefully that rain washed it in.
Greens actually played ok when it dried out but when dewy and wet the sand sticks to the ball. Had to thump putts.

Love StaB
31 pts in very windy conditions.
3 putted the first 8 holes….greens in great condition but a bit slower than over the road at the Dunes, I just couldn’t get the pace right.
Tee to green I was pretty good, only missed 4 in reg. SAB is very forgiving off the tee.
Birdied 18 which will get me back again.
My eldest had 39 pts, nutted by a 34 hcp who had 45 pts with 2 wipes…. I’m calling bullshit.
30 pts on front 9, 40 off the stick!
