9 holes tonight and playes really well, except for one hole. The 13th. Where I proceeded to hit my 1st drive OOB right, and then my 2nd tee shot..... and then my 3rd. By my calculations I was 7 shots to find the fairway. Pretty hard to rescue a round with an 11 on the card! I don't think I've ever got close to hitting x3 OOB in succession. I'm.almost proud of myself. If I ignore those shots I parred the hole and had a 2 over round. X1 birdie.

I was even after 5 at Rosebud CC, lost interest myself... hit a few decent shots, one 7 Iron to about 8ft was nice into the wind from 142m, real quality off the back toe (was a bullet). Obviously 3 putted (held a nice 6ftr for Bogey lol FML).

I'm a cat. Shouldn't be permitted on courses anymore. Did hit a 3Wood 228m into the wind to about 15ft so maybe there's some life in the old dog yet!

Daily at Dunes on Sun was +1…should’ve been + gazillion

We have had +1 the last two weekends which have been the club champs. 50-60kmh from the West first round and then East the second. Fields of 178 and 183 - 4 and 5 bettered their handicap. +1 was the daily. Think +3 is the max which must require a cyclone.

It's ok, does the trick!

I live Bayside so can be there in 57mins, with a bit of luck.

Don't mind it cos it's pretty tight, gets you moving the ball both ways which is what you need to do when you leave the Peninsula and want to score well.

Well, today was great.

Played at Mt Derrimut and played in my first ever stableford comp now that I have a handicap.

Hit a PB with strokes (no birdies, 3 pars, points on 15/18 holes). 33 stableford points which was enough for me to beat a couple of big names who played today including Andrew Gaze.

I love this game.

15 over Warerford Valley today...43 putts. Never chipped and putted so bad ever. Not a 1 putt on the card all day. 10 greens in reg 12/14 fairways. No birdies.

Note to oneself. Graphite shafts break easy when you dummy spit after blading 40m approach 3rd shot on par 5 into rear trap.

Don't worry about the putting. I had 40 putts at Torquay the other day. Nothing to worry about there.

Chipping gone bad after some promising signs?

32pts today. 8 fairways, 4 gir, 31 putts and only 14 on the front 9. Drained a 50 footer on 9, 35 footer on 5. 2 birdies and some absolute garbage as well. Doubles from middle of fairways for example.
Good fun day all round, great mates, course in mint condition.

Don't worry about the putting. I had 40 putts at Torquay the other day. Nothing to worry about there.

Chipping gone bad after some promising signs?

It wasn't awful...no fats or thins but just did not put it close. Just had no feel as they were spinning and stopping when they usually run out. I normally hit it softer than I think it should to compensate for that but just got it wrong (my 54 degree). Anyway it is now broke...so very tempted to buy a 54 without the game improvement head and wedge flex shaft...standard lie angle and get my 60 bent back to standard as well. Just allow left or right (you will know this) for full shots X amount of metres. Going from 3 degrees flat to standard approx how much on a 75m shot? Should be easier to use around the greens.

Also just an interesting thing...I have just used a proV for it's second round...and the one before I used for 4 and retired it (it was pretty cactus but I am being a bit stingy atm). Not bad 6 rounds around a track with a ton of H2O with out a lost ball.

It’s funny, my current batch of pro v1s are are really durable. Previous batch barely lasted a round.
Used one on Saturday for 36 hole foursomes…still good to go.

Reckon you need to put the ball back in your stance a tad... try 1cm outside your right toe and go from there. Should help you collecting the ball first, not having the blade so open at impact. Hands a bit forward. You ought to practice chipping, pitching, bunkers and putting cos that's the game. Driving is easy, hitting off a tee is easy, hitting SW-7iron from a good lie - easy. You'll be right if you start practicing what will make you better.

Do you jerk with your right hand? So why do you putt with your left hand dominant? Putt with right hand on top of left instead of the "normal" way of doing it.
