Sure is - would be quite the loss (albeit they are suggesting only a partial divestment).

Cerberus less so.
Only played Cerberus once in the 90s. All I remember was getting the greatest bounce of my life when my drive on the first landed on a metal crossing over an open culvert that intersected the fairway.

So Defence has announced that Cerberus Golf Course will be one of their divestments. Never good to see a course bite the dust, but you'd think its days are numbered. Also named the course on Swan Island. Is that Queenscliff?
Yep.
Queenscliff is a great track. The back 9 is awesome, one of my favorites.

Sorrento this morning.
As always the course was in immaculate conditions.
Don’t think I’ve hit off better fairways or tees ( that includes some of the highly rated sandbelt courses)
Greens cored and sanded so we’re on the slow side although pretty true.
32 pts, struck ball well, just mucked up a few yardages which impacted the score.
3 wipes but not disappointed with how I played.

Little bit of useless info, apparently Sam Groth drove the 18th a few days back….not sure he’ll be welcome back now though as he may have offended quite a few of the members by quitting the Libs!
🤣

Drove the 18th!? I will need to investigate. It’s 310m uphill. That’s a mighty blow!

5 birdies 2 bogeys, 69 off the stick from the whites.

Hit a drive 265m which is really out there for me nowadays. Cracking day.

(2 man ambrose)
3 under....

That's golfing on a different level

💯 true, one of my playing partners today witnessed it.
Was playing with him.

Seems longer, although I hit Mini driver, PW.
Just wondering how many members have had a cardiac issue walking up that hill, especially after a bad round?

Far out - he must have had a massive westerly(which has been blowing on certain days)? It’s not “just” 310m, it’s a massive amount of elevation and it’s all carry. He could certainly move a tennis ball though.

It was blowing strong from the north on Tuesday…may have been then? We were hitting into SW? today. My drive ended up just left of the fairway bunkers.

Barwon Heads golfy cluby today. Not the place to play shit and try to lose balls. Although the course is open i found ways to avoid fairways regularly. The greens seemed to have some sort of yuck in it at times which detracted from asthetics. beautiful clubhouse and was great to see the changes since i was last there. hospitality and members were first class.

He decided to sign with a Division 2 school.

Comp. this morning. Stableford, I don't like it. Whoever invented it is a D.H. 32 S/F points, winner had 37. 87 off the stick, reasonably happy but can do so much better.

Played Royal Adelaide this afternoon. Lovely and warm. Hit an 86. Didn't strike the ball very well. My swing sped up a bit. All bogeys and pars but one triple. Didn't 3 putt but had a bunch of putts not make the hole. Had 33 putts but say 6 less and I play to handicap.
Beautiful course, beautiful evening. The member I played with was great and we had a great time. I didn't know LIV was on when I booked nearly a year ago. Kooyonga is charging $400 to play even as a reciprocal. Will definitely come back for a golf weekend.

The 3rd hole is an awesome short par 4.

Green fees have gone through the roof at all golf clubs in the lead up to LIV. It is insane as to how much money some of the visitors will pay for a round.

Next time you are here. Play a round at Glenelg. They have spent a lot of money over the last few years and it is now on a par with Royal Adelaide and Kooyonga playing wise.
