Also, Boca are scum. I really don't have a preference, but the clear message from the locals was: It doesn't matter who you go for, as long as you hate Boca Juniors. I think when I went to a game in 2005 I ended up being a Newell's Old Boys supporter, but honestly I didn't pay much attention. It was in Rosario though, so I'm guessing it's probably right.

I was in BsAs, around Independencia, when Boca supporters were being bussed down 9 de Julio... genuinely terrifying!

Mother was born here, as were both of her grandparents, who have roots reaching back to Spain an Scotland.
Father was born in Italy. Or he may have been born on the boat here (or that may have just been an exaggeration on his part :p).

I was born here, and under the belief I could obtain a dual Italian citizenship. But I have never really looked into that, and it might a bit difficult now anyway, as there's only one remaining living relative on my father's side - his brother (my uncle), and I have no idea where he lives or how to contact him.

Mum's side is Irish/English and Dad's side is Macedonian from around the Florina region (similar to Makedonija and eastdog)

Good to see a few of us come from the same area. :thumbsu:

Peter Daicos the Macedonian Marvel was also from a village in the Lerin region.

I have.
If your dad gave up his Italian passport when he migrated and became a naturalized Australian, then forget it.
However if your dad has kept his Italian passport and became an Oz permanent resident instead of a citizen, then you're good.
