Ok, so there are two nursing homes in Canterbury that I can see via Google. Hester road and Faversham house. They are basically next door to one another! And around the corner from Balwyn road where shrublands is.

edwardian homestead (Not house), one of the first in the area of canterbury....so around early 1900s, like that link i posted details all the homes in australia and their architectural styles.
opposite it directly is a high school, private probably.
has a spooky window that overlooks the street, easy to see from the street, (like that leeds street house has, even tho it might not be it, easy to see a figure behind the blinds, just like that window).
had a clear attic section, so probably those triangular shaped rooftops.
maybe it is that 92 mont albert street one? that is listed as one of the earliest in the area, edwardian, is opposite a high school that is private.

92 mont albert.... does have a window that looks out onto the street....tho not easy to see, but it does look to have the following he described....

And that window, where the builders had seen the figure, as I had years before, looked out onto the street but a large air conditioning obscured much of the surface area.

i reckon it could be 92 Mont Albert, or 86 Mont Albert.
92 has the creepy window that can be seen from the street corner that looks to now be obscured with an air conditioning unit, years after grizzly moved out.
it is also listed in that link of old australian homes, circa 1900, as one of the very first Edwardian style homes.
it is directly opposite a private high school that could've used it as a boarding school, prep school for the yr 11-12ers.
either 92 or 86 could be it.

This one also gives me the heeby jeebies.

the way he says.....THAT window....as in, a particular single window can be seen from the street....92 has that, whereas 86 has a ton of windows that can be seen. also, now obscured by something. also, has those triangular rooftops like edwardian, also is listed in that link i provided.....right across the road from a private high school......too much adds up to not be it....imo humbly.

the house wasnt as huge as the balwyn one, he describes it as being easy to go in and out of, that you can quickly exit the house from the stairs, and where the noises happened was attic area....92 has attics, those pointy rooftop rooms, "that window" is right there. balwyn property is gigantic and would take forever to walk in and out of. 92 is a big homestead, but small enough to have easy access in and out. balwyn doesnt have the pointy attic rooms, nor a single THAT WINDOW that overlooks the street.

i reckon so. 92.

Definitely Canterbury. They’d all be close to a nursing home. It really depends what he means by around the corner.
With your much appreciated help....and Themanbun's psychic feels.....i reckon we've got it pinned down for Licorice. Has to be 92 imo.

That’s it I reckon. Opposite Camberwell Grammar that we know starts with kids as young as 4. Nursing homes would be close by from what we’ve seen.

Agreed with this. It fits his description that seemed to portray a singular ominous window. That one you just posted seems to fit that to a tee.
