I've had many premonitions about future events in my dreams....Was dreaming about the twin tower collapse way back in the mid-to-late 1980's.

You might be surprised how often that sort of thing happened wrt to 9/11. Or not.

Nah just general chit chat.

Are strange things more likely to happen when discussing the crows?

You might appreciate this, well you certainly will but I didn't.

At half time during the 98 GF about 30, a literal murder, of crows landed outside the house (specifically outside the wall the telly was up against) and started squarking like campaigners. I went out and tried to shoo them away but they kept coming back. The campaigners. They went on and on for the entire half time break. It was as uncanny as all getout. I've lived in this house for nearly 22 years and that is the only time that has ever happened. I was pretty into weird stuff at the time, ie magic rituals and other bullshit and thought there was only one thing that would save that game for us. I was loading the shotty up and ready blow the **** out of them but my missus wouldn't let me. Needless to say the next half of footy was so bad it never actually happened.

You probably owe her for that flag.

No, not surprised at all actually....I'm a subscriber to the notion of the collective unconscious....Morphic resonance, prophetic visions & all that.

Jung refers to it as being 'In the house of the Riddle Mother'....The Ancient Greeks were always consulting their oracles over future events.

I used to be quite the skeptic, but I worked in a pub for a while which changed my attitude pretty quickly. I will share some stories another night when I can be bothered.

I will share this little story though - I took a walk on my own through the Carlton cemetery late one night a few weeks back, being a bit of a Melbourne rookie I thought it might be a bit of a shortcut on my way home, what I didn't realise is how massive it is and how the path snakes along which made the walk home much longer than normal. I was enjoying the walk and in a very positive mind when all of a sudden I just started sobbing uncontrollably, which I found very weird. It wasn't too long after that when I decided I would try and make a shortcut and walk along one of the aisles, but as I turned to walk down one I saw a figure standing a bit further down. It could have been a person, but I wasn't sticking around to find out and it was too far down for me to distinguish. I did notice that all of the electric little candles on gravestones were lit, this could be explained by someone being employed there to change the batteries in them? I did find it weird though.

They also do night tours there so it may well have been someone who works there.

Once I removed my wedding ring and left it in a drawer for a few days

When I got it out I found it had been squashed almost flat as if in a vice

I took it to a jeweller and he was able to fix it

He asked how it happened because he said a vice would have damaged the surface and the shape of the squashed ring was perfectly regular

Poltergeist?

Your ex-wife's prayers

I was married at the time and wife thought I had squashed the ring because we had an argument
That's got me bamboozled then. I'll have to mull on it. But poltergeist seems only explanation so far. But why would a poltergeist do that? They usually do such things as a payback for something. Like they lived in the room (drawer in your case) or had an affiliation with an object that has been passed down (but your ring was new not a heirloom) or a dead ex wife being jealous

I have seen some shadow people on a couple of occasions, but apparently this isn't that rare.

I was once so startled by one of these that I woke up and swung a roundhouse at it. It probably had as much to do with the 3 grams of Silver Haze that I had smashed earlier in the day.

What is a shadow person?

What is a shadow person?

Just a black shape in the outline of a human.

I have had the man standing at the end of the bed a couple of times (women in my family have experienced this phenomenon very vividly).

However, my most vivid experience when I actually struck out was of a woman in Victorian era style clothing. I was sleeping down at a beach house next to a window on a moonlit night, and if you are dozing off in light and someone walks past your eyes still register a shadow walking past. Well, this is the sensation I felt. Someone/thing cast a passing shadow on my closed eyes and I sensed someone/thing nearby. I shot bolt upright and noticed this shadow thing against the wall on the other side of the room, and it started striding very purposefully straight at me. I teed off hard, and of course didn't hit a thing. The "thing" then sat down immediately to my right and then dissipated. That's it.

I put it down to my mind playing tricks with the light.

yeah, that sort of thing.

I haven't seen any of this sort of stuff for a long, long time, and it was back in the day when I used to push the envelope a lot harder with the psychotropics. I don't consider any of it to be proof of the supernatural.

This kind of stuff immediately registers as bullshit with me.

Why all the horror correlations and mood setting with the music? It's moronic.

Dogs and cats are proof of the supernatural
