Guilty
After all the discounts are added up, they will get 4 months in the season proper
Playing again on 1st August

What I think SHOULD happen (based on what we know in public):

Dank found guilty of administering prohibited substances. Banned for life.

Players are found guilty with no significant fault. Bans reduced to twelve months backdated to last game (september 6th for all but Jobe and Fletcher who played in international rules game).

Further support staff (Hird, Reid, Thompson, Corcoran, Robinson) will be issued with SCNs and also penalised (2 years, no backdating).

Brownlow stripped from Jobe. Not reissued.

No further sanction for Essendon (AFL will declare they have already punished them sufficiently).

What I think WILL happen:

NFI!

Players will be found guilty and receive 3mth bans backdated to when IN's were issued

Don't think 3 months is an option...

The 3 months would be expired by the finish of the tribunal and ASADA/WADA would definitely appeal. They want the players to miss official games.

It is just your opinion though, one you're well and truly entitled to.

I don't think they will have the balls to give them a longer suspension due to commercial considerations.

Players not guilty, ASADA disbanded.

AFL and ASADA issue public apology to the Entire Essendon football club.

AFL pay back our 2 Million dollar fine.

AFL award the Essendon football club 2 first round priority picks in the 2015 ND to make up for they're mistakes.

James Hird vindicated and is widely respected as a fantastic bloke with high integrity.

2 year ban to players backdated to IN issuing date. Dank banned for life. Hird issued with SCN. 2012 Brownlow vacated. Essendon banned from Rd1 and 2 of 2015-16 drafts.

I would be disappointed if the AFL wanted to impose additional draft penalties should the players be found guilty and suspended. Damages the club in the long term. The club will have effectively lost 3 seasons for this, fans need some hope.

Club punishments should be aimed at those with ultimate responsibility regarding the health and wellbeing of the players. Coaches and support staff (Robinson and Dank), Doc Reid and the board.

The one support staff member is likely to be found guilty of most of the 30 charges he is facing, if not all of them, given he is not contesting them.

The players are now odds on to be cleared.

So support staff is found guilty of administering banned drugs to players and covering up administration of banned drugs to players but players get off scot free, I think both outcomes may be somewhat tied.

Though which players is the toughest part of the case if there are truly no records.

What do you think will be the outcome:

- Will any Essendon players be found guilty? YES

- If you think any players will be found guilty - will it be all of them, or only some? ALL
For those who predict a guilty verdict :

- if any are found guilty - what do you think the penalty will be? 1 Year back dated

- will it be the same penalty for all players, or some longer than others? If some players have given assistance they will get a lesser penalty.

- do you think any have done deals/pleaded guilty? 60% probable

- If you are predicting reductions from the standard 2 yr ban .. what is the reason for the reduction? Reduced fault

- what date do you think the penalty will be imposed from (ie last game, date of IN, other ) Date of IN

- do you think ASADA or WADA will appeal? will the players appeal? Not if above penalties are applied.

Ah but the bulk of the 30 charges against the one support staff member involve other substances and clubs (over and above TB4 and EFC).

What do you think will be the outcome:

- Will any Essendon players be found guilty? Absolutely

- If you think any players will be found guilty - will it be all of them, or only some? All of them
For those who predict a guilty verdict :

- if any are found guilty - what do you think the penalty will be? In most cases 1 year with a very convoluted back-dating scheme

- will it be the same penalty for all players, or some longer than others? Majority the same, a couple who dropped the others in the shit will get a discount to six months

- do you think any have done deals/pleaded guilty? Up to four

- If you are predicting reductions from the standard 2 yr ban .. what is the reason for the reduction? No Significant Fault (hah!), and up to four substantial assistances

- what date do you think the penalty will be imposed from (ie last game, date of IN, other ) There will be a convoluted calculation for a ridiculous reason - somewhere between last game and IN.

- do you think ASADA or WADA will appeal? will the players appeal? Less than 2 years, ASADA/WADA to appeal. Any penalty at all, I expect EFC to appeal - players will remain suspended, but it's the only way they can uphold the pretence of being innocent.

Oh, and a life ban for Dank. That one is a rolled gold certainty.

Also Dank will gain credibility with vanity users of his peptides and sales at his clinics to increase.

He will never work with an WADA compliant sport again.

- will it be the same penalty for all players, or some longer than others? Same for all

- do you think any have done deals/pleaded guilty? No

- If you are predicting reductions from the standard 2 yr ban .. what is the reason for the reduction? Level of culpability

- what date do you think the penalty will be imposed from (ie last game, date of IN, other ) Date of IN

- do you think ASADA or WADA will appeal? will the players appeal? Not if the above is what happens.

I really think the punishment needs to mainly be leveled at the club. Let the players - especially those who are no longer with Essendon - be found guilty, but also let them play this season. Letting an Essendon-run program effect the season for other teams who have picked up ex-Bombers would be a bit out of order, no?

Ban Hird and Dank for good, and hamstring the Bombers for another year or two - make them play all their home games at Etihad, pull their father/son capabilities, little stuff like that.

I do like someone with a good sense of humor.

That last line was quite good.

Sorry... but I LOVE this gif and it's a perfect time to use it. :)

Players: It will be either 1 year or 2 years with a leaning towards 2 years starting when the provisional suspension was invoked ( 14/11/2014 ) After bans finish, some will retire, some will stay and some will seek a move to another club and some will never play in the AFL again.

Dank: Who cares, no afl club will touch him with a 10ft pole anyway but will be given 4 years from all sports.

Hird: Will remain coach because he will threaten the board again and if the board has grown some and does sack him, Hird will go kicking and screaming threatening everyone at Essendon with court action.
