Not sarcasm I'm being 100% serious. It's something that I'd like to see happen (hey I'm not a Collingwood fan either but if it was a choice out of them, Essendon or Carlton having the more premierships it's Collingwood by the length of the Flemington straight..... and several galaxies as well).

If Hawthorn are good enough to beat Geelong, think they're flag faves...unless Brisbane spank the Pies who are playing well. Not just a close win, but a thrashing of 40+.

I can't see the Cats not winning it unless they are really off and/or inaccurate - plus the other team would have to be at or near their season best again. Remember in 08 the Cats had more scoring shots so it was ultimately inaccuracy - as good as the Hawks were - that lost it for them.

Ultimately it is Geelong who will decide this year's premier.

We had the decency to fade away for the better part of a decade at least. Much like Richmond is currently doing.

All the drama surrounding Geelong now (Smith, Scott, the police incident we can't talk about, the Stengle cover up, the outside payments etc) only adds to the villain arc IMO. I'm genuinely surprised more posters would be happy with a Geelong flag than a Hawthorn one.

Whether true or not, For me it's Geelong's advantages (only Vic side with true home ground, yet enough MCG games so they get used to it, which I concede some might say is a disadvantage, but they've adapted well to the G) that help them stay up there their annoy me. If they had a spell down the bottom for awhile that might be an argument against that. But I think Chris Scott deserves a lot of credit.

Sam Mitchell hasn't exactly endeared himself, but OTOH gotta respect that killer instinct, if its all above board.

McRae gets up my goat a little because the media pumping his/the Magpies tyres all the time, basically telling us to love them because they're so wonderful. Collingwood also getting many advantages at the G with big marquee crowds because of money.

Lions naturally still the most popular option among neutrals. Only caveat is they'll surpass us in AFL flags, but overall it's pretty and I'd still rather them win.

Hawthorn was my least favourite until maybe 2018, then Geelong and Collingwood. People love to hate their young players but I find them entertaining. True some of their players seem floggish. I like some of their players like Gunston, Breust (even though he's retired now), Impey, Newcombe. Still a tad salty on Barrass, think we should've held onto him, so him not winning a flag there would be satisfying.

Brisbane already lost a final, so they can bugger off. Hawthorn finished 8th, so they can bugger off.

We're 0-2 against Hawthorn in grand finals, 2-0 against Geelong and 1-0 against Collingwood. 1-1 vs Sydney, teams that are perpetually in the top 4/8.

Will be ever get one back against the other big birds? I don't know, but it would be nice.
