Your second team

I was wondering who most people have as their second team, if in fact they have one at all.
Mine is GWS, but it will probably change once the become more powerful in the league.

My second team usually fluctuates depending on circumstances and that is probably similar to most fans. However bending my arm Richmond is my fathers side and a few close friends who have all suffered long enough.

Always liked Adelaide for some reason, I think it's because of Jarmans performance in the 97 granny. Also think they have one of the better songs and Colour schemes.

Richmond would be my second team. My cousins are Richmond fans and I used to tag along to a few Richmond fans, will cheer for them against anyone bar Collingwood.

As mentioned, it does tend to change I think for most people. Harder to like a team that is belting yours!

If anything, I'd say the dogs. Reason being that in the mid - second half of the '00s I really think their best was as good if not better than anyone elses. Their use of the ball by foot was exquisite. Kinda an injustice that they never made a GF IMHO.

If I moved interstate I'd probably follow a local team and go to a few games. Not sure how I'd deal with the media coverage though.

I don't have a 'second team' per se, the heart will always belong to Hawthorn and Hawthorn only. That being said I'd be happy to see Richmond win a flag. Girlfriend and a lot of family follow the Tigers so I see them play a lot. It helps that they're absolutely fantastic to watch when on song. Cotchin can make his way over to Hawthorn any time he wants.

The Swans always used to be my second team as I was born in NSW, but now they are tied with the Giants for my second team as geographically speaking the Giants would be the closest club to where I was born exactly.

Being from Queensland, it's probably the Gold Coast. New team, underdogs, wanna see them succeed and grow the game up here. I usually go to a few Lions games throughout the year and usually cheer for them, but outside of that I don't have particular strong feelings for them.

Like many others my soft spot usually changes depending on circumstances, ladder positions, players, etc.

Then Geelong surprisingly. Missus barracks for them, and they play a bloody good brand of footy.
