Rather then talking about player distribution I was thinking about the other things that derail a SC season.
  • Unnecessary injury risk leading to forced trades mid season
  • R1/R2 under performer risk - forcing you to side swap mid pricers/premiums when you should be fixing rookies
The second risk in particular is one that people don't talk about. These are the players who you expect to have an increase, or maintain their scoring, but regress 10+ points (often due to structural change). I'm trying to figure out the types of players out there that could fit this currently.

Some examples would include...
  • Birchall (continues to regress)
  • Pendles (continues to regress)
  • McDonald (gets first half season scores, not second)
  • Barlow (doesn't get put in the midfield)
  • Billings (doesn't get put in the midfield)
What type of players do you think provide this risk currently? How many would you be willing to start in your team R1?

Risk players for me:

1. Walters scores well IF he’s in the midfield

2. Burton .... do we still know what his roll will be

3. Sicily ....scores well when played off HB, will he get that gig FT

4. Gray ...forward or Midfield ?

5. Ablett ....can he play 22 games of top footy ?

Handy for those going the dedicated loop:
#SUPERCOACH ALERT!
If picking a donut/loophole, best to know # of times teams play SUN/MON/TUES games, right? Plan for the byes, too.
10 - WCE
9 - MEL, COLL
8 - FRE, HAW, NM

Yeo
If anything he will improve his average if left at half back
Hurn will drop in output.
Yeo must be continued to play as HB, Duggan will improve again and Watson will provide depth and dash.
The ageing Hurn will regress quicker than his hairline did! :p

My strategy is to a) pick all of the breakout contenders and b) get good value from injury affected players who've shown they can produce premium output.

Think I've nailed it.

Anyone I've missed?

Missing McGrath in defense.
