Just came on here to say a big congratulations to you guys, the fans.
Watched the replay this morning and couldnt believe how much support you guys had up there. A few times when brown was lining up for goal, the amount of booing sounded like the game was being played at the G.
Few times where collingwood had shots at goal on the run, i heard cheering, so i automatically assumed they;d shanked it, only for it to be collingwood fans as it sailed straight through the middle.
Big well done to pies fans

p.s was it mainly travelling fans or do you guys have a big supporter base up there? cheers

We have a great supporters group in Queensland that actively encourages us southerners to get up north and help them "uphold the magpie name" in foreign territory.

We also have supporter groups in every other state in Australia, all the websites are hosted by www.magpies.net.

yeah qld magpies are good they organised a fair bit such as a pre match function and breakfast which was great. At the game...dunno if we outnumbered them but we certaintly out voiced them right form the beginnng...best game i have been too at the gabba and best atmosphere i have experienced at the gabba...god i hate brisbane

Because on Nicks we were able to show the Club a couple of years ago how much ahead of us Carlton and Essendon were in their interstate packages. By doing that the Club actually asked the "interstaters" what they wanted and accommodated our foreign mates.

And yes now Ess and Carl are a long way behind as they should be.

Yeh, I had a look in the 23rd of May edition and couldn't find anything except a quote from Dan26 and ted ed fred. Great paper though. First time I've picked up a copy and won't be the last.
