I still disagree slightly.
Stephen Milne, Leon Davis, Eddie Betts are all great at exerting forward pressure.
Max Rooke and Campbell Brown are defensive forwards.
Davey belongs in the former category, I'd have Vardy in my team to play a role more alike Max Rooke, hopefully pitch in with a couple of goals but otherwise in their for his toughness and tackling.
Milne only really added forward pressure in the last couple of years, as did Davis. I think Leon was on the scrapheap around 04-05. That was roughly the same time that Betts got drafted. So I still think my point is valid, that before Davey, there wasn't a big emphasis on small forwards applying defensive pressure. But now it is part and parcel of the game, and I think Davey's immediate impact in 2004 played a large role in that.
