Since i am going so so bad this year in my tips, im soliciting some help from other posters to this board.

So who is going to win this round?

just post and tip, maybe I can get my score up

Mine so far and subject to review are

Dons,Blues,Kangas,Lions,Dockers,Hawks,Swans andI cant split the Dees and Catters so a draw.

Hi grendel,

I like the theory going round that if youv'e loast for five weeks , you're more likely to win

But the 'experts' only apply that to the hawks

Why should adelaide win when all they have done last week was to threaten players with the sack (It could work) yet Brisbane are picked to win away against St Kilda. The siants have had a 'love in' and, in my opinion, more likely to beat Brisbane than he crows are to beat the Hawks, even if they are at home.

I think the Hawks have to negate Riccuto and Robran, who have been the sticking pints in tecent years. One of our key players should be able to handle Robran, as his form's not good

I wonder if a "new look" Chick or Young would handle ricciuto. If so we're home and hosed

Oops, I just thought about the umpires !


And if Essendon are to be beaten, why not against the bulldogs, arguably the best match up on them at the moment ? Kangas to take the Pies but the pies record is good against the Roos

The other games. Geelong, Sydney, West coast (No-one mentioned that Judge LOVES to beat fremantle) and Carlton

yeah- doggies match up VERY well with us-usually provide a damn tough game. Cant wait for tonite.also- ive made a pact with myself, to never tip collingwood, and always tip essendon- so im even on those two so far. doh.

Arch et al, damn right about the Doggies - MUCH bigger danger game this week than Anzac day IMHO. WBD's were very gallant last week given the personel available and I personally will be very happy to get the points.

As Ali G would say: "Respect".

Carlton (absolutely no certainties)
Dockers (depends on which WCE turn up)
Brisbane (but I'd love to see the sainters do em anyway so TW can have a job for another few weeks)
Sydney (no certainties)
Geelong (without Burns no certainties)

As I've only got about 20 from 39 (leaving out the draw) my form is piss poor so Grendel - your own your own!!!

Bloody tough round! Really looking forward to the game today.

Yep, I think mine are the same as PaulKangas and Arch's.

Max, I think the Eagles that turn up this week will be similar to round4 last year. (remember?

)The humiliation suffered last year when we lost to Freo was unbelievable, they just completely underestimated the Dockers (although a number of teams do). Besides, they'll want to show off their new ground (we paid it, not Freo!) in front of the 1st real sellout for the year. KJ has really thrashed them on the track this week, much the same as after that draw to St. Kilda.

Did you hear about how the Eagles were (accidentally) locked into the Dockers lock-out training session? Pretty funny really.

Roos-Pies could be interesting. A real test of how good Collingwood are. The Roos wont be afraid of roughing the Collingwood Kids up a bit, so it will be interesting as to how they handle it. Especially if Buckley doesn't play.
I've been waiting 5 weeks for a Collingwood loss, but I take heart in the fact that even if they do win this week, next week they won't- right Max & Arch?

Oh, and above all the Eagles will win because they owe me (and the other supporters I suppose) a Derby win! Last years were the worst.

Essendon fans- why aren't you guys winning by more? Last week was really dissapointing from a Carlton-haters POV, and this week you should have won by 80-100 points. Is it a tactic, or just taking the foot off the pedal? If you're not careful, a team's gunna run over you.....

Thanks. Was alright, wasn't it? Far more enjoyable than the last derby! Pity about Modra though (really!). Would have been a more even game with him in.
Anyone dare to predict how we'll go next week? +47, -12, =0, +114, -81, +117.....? Not real consistent is it? And it's just so unlike us. Under MM, we very rarely put teams away, but got thrashed even less. I am so confused!!!!!

BTW/ Essendon are still on fire! Just please start playing 4 quarters! -until you play us that is....
