Your Top 20 Players Heading Into 2020?

If you can not find a place for Ben Brown, the only forward to kick 60+ goals for three years straight, then you really don't do football.

Franklin is cooked, or is that coked? Either way, he is a shadow of the player he was in his prime.

Sure...pick on my list...why not. (Checks the other seven lists and sees no one has selected Brown)

Ok - my reasoning. The last time I actually watched a North Melbourne game, was Round 1 last year. Not only did Freo smash North, but Brown put on a staging for free-kicks display only rivaled by Walters (which I hate him for), Selwood, Rance and Shuey. So I have assumed that he may have regularly scored 60+ goals for the last few years but only about 40 of those are properly earned. Therefore, I (and it would seem all the other posters in this thread) are not convinced he is top 20 player worthy. A stance that it would also appear the AA selectors also took.

I punched a whole lot of random meaningless information into a super computer and it answered with an
equally meaningless list of twenty names that could have come from the phone book. This in no way is
reflective of reality as there are no Richmond players present.

1: Brodie Grundy
2: Nathan Fyfe
3: Patrick Dangerfield
4: Patrick Cripps
5: Marcus Bontempelli
6: Lachie Neale
7: Max Gawn
8: Adam Treloar
9: Clayton Oliver
10: Tim Kelly

11: Jeremy Cameron
12: Jackson Macrae
13: Tim Taranto
14: Dayne Zorko
15: Luke Shuey
16: Joshua Dunkley
17: Lachie Whitfield
18: Andrew Gaff
19: Zachary Merrett
20: Travis Boak

Apologies to Ben Cunnington, if not for all those gut punches delivered to players you could not catch you
were a lock for the top twenty.

I like how you included Zachary Merrett, Joshua Dunkley and Nathan Fyfe.

But you forgot to properly spell Timothy Taranto, Lachlan Whitfield, Lachlan Neale and Timothy Kelly. Plus your apology to Benjamin Cunnington...

Like I said, you don't do football. Maybe Peter Bell (all hail) can teach you.

The top ten from you're own clubs B & F, maybe they don't do football either how can they rate the game
changing match winning champion of the game at five. Only kidding five is a great rating for a KPF and a
true vindication of his brilliance. ;)

I'm sure the rest of the board are looking in going 'How sweet - a Freo and North fan arguing about who does football...' Perhaps we could get a Saints fan to join us and we can collectively revel in our positions as the holy trinity of irrelevant footy teams.

have been feeling guilty so team "C" was born purely to highlight his standing amongst the best "C"'s in
the AFL.

finally a richmond fan who doesnt think dustin martin is leigh matthews

i actually agree with you
its similar to clark keating back in the day just cruising along and then going beast mode
i still think dusty is easily a top 10 H&A player but some guys go to another level in finals and hes one of them

its like draymond green who would ratehr watch paint dry in the regular season of the NBA and then come playoffs he starts averaging a triple double

Derek Eggmolesse-Smith says at least you got the hyphen right, that is the best hyphenated name in the AFL
and deserves respect.

Best current hyphenated name, but former Dog Cameron McKenzie-McHarg is up there with him for best of all time (went on to become an Olympic rower).
