I think music is a very personal thing.

Certainly is. I don't feel the same way people do with rap, with exception to a few songs. Pump up songs are different for everyone

Good list :thumbsu: , I'd like nickleback if my ex didn't destroy the moment. Agree with the different moods etc. Coldplay, and classical music for relaxing, and chilling, but don't have the same effect with getting pumped.

You posted in the old thread before starting this one...??
that was a different one. This is a playlist/music you listen to while at the gym.

The other one was more prior to the gym, videos etc. The two shouldn't be confused.

Maybe I should have put that in the title, too late now. Unless Colin D'Cops would be nice enough to change the title to

Your music playlist for the gym (Or suitable title):)

Why do you need special music?

I personally don't, but music helps a lot of people. I'm happy if the gym is empty and that the music is off. I'm even happy to listen to a podcast while at the gym, but I'm a little weird :p

Music helps some people relax, get motivated and energised. You constantly see people at the gym and on the street with headphones on, so people are listening to something. If people want to share what they listen to then this is the thread for them.

Why do you need special music?

I'd rather listen to nothing than crappy dance music that's at louder volume than in a busy nightclub, but I'd at least like to have the option of listening to my own stuff if I wanted to (and not have it drowned out by the s**t already blaring out in the gym).

Why do you need special music?

Some people can get fired up without music. I struggle. When I want to get a massive session I get pumped with music. It pushes you mentally, where you would have given up without music. It depends on the mental strength of the individual. I wouldn't want to overdo it, but there are times where you need that extra lift. And it works. Maybe not as much for a maximum lift/max strength, but it certainly helps you give everything you have.

I can train with any music, or without.

I just know that when the pain kicks in, music can assist me maintain intensity. Especially my faves.

Music (for me at least) makes it a more enjoyable experience also. Enjoyment can never be underestimated.

Rammstein and Black Sabbath mainly. As others have said half the time it's about blocking others out, I can't deal with s**t talkers and people on their phone at the best of time let alone in the gym, and half the time it's about getting pumped up to a big squat or press... otherwise the terrorists win.
