You're joking me!

This must be some sort of joke, we're at it again boys! Posters b*tching about this and that, making petty excuses, playing the blame game, blah, blah, blah, just friggen stop it! Right, we lost, but is bashing everyone who looks like they're going to make a mistake going to do them any good? NO!

Shape up Carlton Board, this has got to stop! If we had the win today, there would be none of this crap. I hate having to come on here and read the kind of things our players get. We're meant to be supporters, we support our team, not bash them after every loss! These losses are expected at the moment (unfortunately), so it's not the bloody end of the world when we don't cross the line! (god I hate saying that)

Oh, BTW, where the hell is the 'Chris Judd is sh*t' thread, huh? Or are some of you blokes not man enough to park the blame on 'our untouchable superstar/leader'?

PISS POOR!

I agree with ya there EBIAC ..... pretty quick to jump on the bandwagon when the boys are winning BUT when we lose..... quick to stick the knives in...... wonder who will be next?
as I stated in a post after a game we lost (think it was the Richmond game or St Kilda game) I was pretty proud of the boys & the response to that was well

Do you really think this childish rant will have the slightest effect on the number of angry supporters who expect better? Hilarious - and pointless.

I really dont think there is a hell of a lot to complain about from todays game. Only had 2 players on the bench and apart from a little lapse in the third quarter we pretty much matched it with them the whole game. And that was without Fev and Judd firing. Definetly one of the more positive losses of recent times.

1980's St Kilda Board.

ease up young fella...
Nah, I bloody well wont! I don't post so that I can have people jump on my side, I post what I friggen want, whether people agree with it or not, and that one bloke has been at my throat for a while now.

The game was there to be won at half time, and unfortunately, we didn't grasp it. 10 points up at the main change, and we barely challenged Adelaide after half time. Still, there were some good signs. Paul Bower continues to impress, and JR showed some improvement, aside from that kick on goal.

I've been holding back criticizing you due to your age and commendable if manic enthusiasm, but for your future reference please take note:

1. The majority of your posts border on the unintelligible.

2. You have as much right to post here as anyone but your youth and general inexperience means you lack authority, knowledge and basic debating skills. Consequently I have become tired of your ridiculous protests and stupid comments.

3. Regarding your latest post, what do you expect fellow supporters to say after today's game? Through no fault of your own you haven't experienced much of our successful history. Many other posters have so the continual losses when compared to our magnificent past really burn. Of course they take it out on the players the same way they laud them when we win. Who else do you think they will bag, the Record sellers?

4. I have not been at your throat. You post here in an open forum and thus you are up for assessment and judgment the same as anyone is. I rate posts on the words written not on the writer. You will know it when I am at your throat.

5. Keep your chin up, it's only a game. :)

oh sh't, so now we cant criticise the team  last time i checked this was a football forum, were we can celebrate the good, and be upset at the bad. and today, there were plenty of things that went wrong
-when scotland was running inside 50, he couldnt hit a target to save himself, just lofting it high.
-carrazzo's disposal coming out of the D50 was very questionable
-gibss continues to be unaccountable and he simply looks lazy. for someone who gets BOG in training, he aint that flash on match day
-the team refused to move quickly and change the plan later in the game, when we were desperate for a spark.

so does that mean i hate carlton? no, it just means i am desperate to see improvement because i heckin'g love the blues.
if we are to win the premiership in a few years time, we need to heckin'g improve, especially in these areas, and this is why most of us are so critical.

I wont justify this post with a reply, as the point of my original post was to both get off the back of our boys, and fellow supporters.

Although, I shall take what you have said on board:thumbsu:.

You love Carlton so much, you take the absolute p*ss out of them?

I'm tired.

I agree with the general gist of the opening post FWIW.

Quite a bit of the stuff I have seen here directed towards our players, former coach, etc borders on nasty, hateful, vitriolic spite.

My view on being a supporter is to be exactly that. It certainly doesn't involve turning on our own simply because we think that they aren't up to scratch.

God I hope the players on the receiving end of the vitriol here never read it, they will never improve if that is the case.

If I want to vent, i'm going to f*cking vent.

Thats all the other posters are probably doing aswell. Most will be back on the horse come Monday morning. Lifes too short to worry about how other people follow their teams.

Chin up Eddie you will find some positive in between the negative.

I can take this positive from the game, if not from anything else:

We were winning against a very good side without the input from our two best players. Silly mistakes, Thornton's lack of run, half a bench and the traditional final quarter fade out enabled Adelaide to take a stranglehold of the game and ultimately outplay us. Instead of focusing on the negatives, we should actually be happy that we were this competitive considering the circumstances. What I noticed especially was that we still didn't stop running and put our heads over the ball.

Had this been last year we would've most likely lost by 80 points. You can see we're improving as a team but have brain fades that cost us in the end. The four quarter consistency is still not there. It does however still have me concerned about depth - if our best players are off the boil, it seems none of our 2nd stringers step up to the plate. That's to be expected from a young side though.

Thought the margin was flattering from them in the end. It was a much closer game than the scoreline indicated.

What the worst thing is, almost ever poster in this thread is a hypocrite , you all have bagged the club / players once in this 7 years of disarray. It is poor form , we pay money every week to go and make the effort to the games we are entitled to our say on this board so is everyone.
