YouTube Flashback - 1985 Hawks vs Geelong

This has just hit youtube in the last few weeks - a flashback to a most wonderful year (great vintage for children, anyway), when Hafey was too busy working out which Adidas tee to wear (or just plain working out, knowing Tommy) to take Jacko off the ground. Highlights involve watching Greg Williams run around in a Geelong jumper, knowing that he'd have been ours forever if we'd just paid him another $5,000 (a good investment, in hindsight), and not one, not two, but three (Neal, Bruns, Bourke) Cat Redheads in the team.
You can't buy hair like that nowadays... sigh.

it doesn't show too well in the clip, but my memory is that Gavin Excel was a readhead also. Good thing we don't have "less than attractive" redheads in our team any more.........

My memory of 1985 was that we were the second best team but the Dons were way above us as the best team.

The premiership was inevitable.

Not my favorite year!

Gavin Exell wasn't a redhead he had blonde hair

Long curly blonde was Gavin Excel. SOMEONE was born in the nineties...!...
