That play does dead-set nothing. It's a distraction, yes, but not clever in an X&O way.

Which reminds me....I am surprised that NFL teams don't do a fake PAT more often. Sure, it would end up meaning the ball itself has retreated about 10 yards out, but the same pretty much happens if a team passes on a 2PT Conversion. Plus, the fake PAT attempt has its advantages in a) the compressed defense and b) the element of surprise as everyone always rushes the LOS anyway. It would be so easy to have a guy wide open in the flat versus lining up in an offensive formation.

I wonder if anyone will ever try a fake 2-point conversion

i.e. they pretend they will go for 2, but actually kick the Extra Point, just to make the extra point much closer

The NFL will be putting up 3 games per team in the not too distant future, at least according to a Facebook poll they're running at the moment. I'd expect them to crack down on other non-sanctioned YouTube games once they do so.
