Im sure he is really upset as he is counting the extra money he gets at Adelaide, playing for the team he supported growing up. Playing at Adelaide Oval instead of the cattle yard called the Gabba would also be very upsetting for him.

Not only are the Crom trying to recreate our list they are also trying to mimic our 2025 gameplan. Unfortunately, Nicksy hasn’t realised yet that we have adapted it to the new rules.

You stole CC from us, and stole others from other teams. You stole Fagan from Hawthorn to try and get their IP and gameplan from them, and you got David Noble from us to create a good administration set up.
Thats what clubs do. They poach people and players from successful teams to improve their lot.

Prior to poaching all those people, Brisbane were a basket case. They couldn't retain interstate players (Go home five), had woeful crowds, and was begging the AFL for help warning the club was going to be irrelevant in the AFL and Qld.

Now you had some advantages that most other clubs dont, like the Academies, so you got a couple of good players from there, and you got extra list spots to help your rebuild.

Now, outside of that Brisbane did all the right things. They brought good coaching staff from successful clubs, and experienced admin people who turned the clubs culture around to where they werent just not losing players to their home, but they became a destination club for players from other states. Then, surprise, surprise, you get success on field as well.

But, dont kid yourself, you only got better by poaching people and players from other clubs that were better than you at the time. Its cyclical.

I don’t recall ever getting additional list spots. From memory I think the Suns, Kangas and Eagles have all received that concession in recent years.

Adelaide’s midfield absolutely reeks compared to Brisbane’s. Oppo midfielders are too busy worrying about Neale, McCluggage and Ashcroft when he goes in there. He doesn’t even get the best small defender either, they go to Cameron.

I also find it funny that Adelaide supporters go hard at Nicks. Berry, Soligo and Peatling are not AFL standard midfielders in a team that’s contending. Rankine and Rachele are not midfielders either, as much as they are trying to make them into ones. Bailey is just another version of those. I do like Curtin though, albeit it was a small sample size last year.

Zac should look at North in my opinion if they back the truck up. More bullish on their list long-term than Adelaide and he could sit behind Sheez, LDU, Wardlaw, O’Sullivan, McKercher etc. with Xerri putting it down his throat. Crows fans way overestimate their list.

Not fussed if we get anything at all for him. He’s given us great service and I will continue to love watching him wherever he ends up. He’s not worth anywhere near what’s been thrown around for him.

You have done nothing but prove my point about overestimating your list. That midfield is trash. Lacks any pure midfielders with talent. Just a bunch of players playing out of position because you have no one else to put there.
