Mate, my friends from Brisbane wear jumpers when it's 24 degrees out you cannot tell me they're swimming in July there
Or some serious circulation issuesSounds like someone from Cairns (and my wife).
Cold is very much relative to where you grew up/live.Or some serious circulation issues
That was just an off the cuff remark, I should have used an emoji. But it all depends on how long you spend in a certain location, I too have spent winters in the north of England, I was born there, and visit family in North Queensland well Just north of Townsville. If you are just visiting you will most likely feel the heat or cold, but spend an extended period and you will acclimatise, I think it has something to do with blood viscosity.Cold is very much relative to where you grew up/live.
I love our winters, 20 degree days. But my wife grew up where nights are cold at 25 degrees and the day time temperature rarely drops below 32 degrees, and there’s no such thing as winter.
I’ve spent Christmas in Newcastle, England and that’s Cold. And wet. And it doesn’t leave your bones. Yet the girls out on the toon wear short skirts and boots walking from venue to venue.

Lol. Rankine and Thilthorpe? Tell me you know nothing about SA football without telling me you know nothing.Ah Chee highest paid player for 2026 and Bailey to be highest paid player for 2027 onwards (10M / 7 years).
I'm sure some Adelaide players might care with all these outsiders walking in and taking all the top $$...
Rankine OOC 2027, Thilthorpe RFA OOC 2028.. just saying you know !![]()

Allen is such average player... but they haven't lost Bailey yet.Imagine losing Bailey because you brought in Allen and Draper.
You must be loads of fun at partiesBeaches are so overrated. If you go on a sunny day there's people everywhere and the sand reflection blinds you and as soon as you step out of the water half the beach gets stuck on you
Don't get me started on how overrated they areYou must be loads of fun at parties
Allen and Draper will be on taking up $1.7M of the salary cap for 6 years, it would have made it a lot easier to kept Bailey though. No doubt, he could still re-sign for $1M at 6 years.Allen is such average player... but they haven't lost Bailey yet.
What do they care though? Do they really need Zac?Allen and Draper will be on taking up $1.7M of the salary cap for 6 years, it would have made it a lot easier to kept Bailey though. No doubt, he could still re-sign for $1M at 6 years.
Cleary they do since he has reportedly been offered $1M at 6 years to re-sign.What do they care though? Do they really need Zac?
Just stay clear of the toilet blocks in the parklands and you should be fine. All I did was ask for some recommendations on things to see in Adelaide, it’s a lovely place. City of churches I hear.
Yeah Zac could re-sign at Brisbane. Given the quality of their list and the chance to win more flags and go down as a club legend, there's reasons for him to stay. But, im glad my club is throwing everything at him.Allen is such average player... but they haven't lost Bailey yet.
Or don't depending on what floats your boatJust stay clear of the toilet blocks in the parklands and you should be fine.
Whatever floats your Jolly Boat House. (IYKYK)Or don't depending on what floats your boat

Chris Schmidt wasn't enough?I don't think we've ever poached a Brisbane player before, so this is exciting.
So, is this a fake offer by Brisbane (his is worth more than $1M) or are you guys just trying to get him cheap??? That's why I said signing Allen and Draper on combined $1.7M at 6 years could cost you Bailey.$1 million/year contracts aren't the rarity they used to be these days. 58 players earnt $1 million+ last year, and that number will just keep going up.
worlds best beaches vs whatever the heck Adelaide has.... yeah I would take the hour drive thanks
Cool storyNo bullsharks, stingers, jellyfish, nets and crocs for starters and I'm not even from South Australia.
The VIC, SA, WA beaches leave the much vaunted QLD and NSW ones for dead in my experience. The weather is probably a separate discussion, however again, dry summer > humid summer every day of the week. The only discussion is really around winter usability.
The beaches themselves? No contest. Especially non tidal beaches etc.
I've never understood why someone would spend a day at the beach with 10ft surf, straight off the beach.
Sand bars and flat beaches > surf beaches all day long.
