I don't get the whole threat of matching. I think it's well understood if Brisbane can get close to the other offers then he stays. I don't see how it ever reaches a point where Brisbane are forced to match and there is a trade.

He is either going for alot more money or staying on a lot less. Not sure there is an in-between with this one.

Would likely devolve into a NAS or Butters style meltdown of no-one having the picks that are fair value, but not being able to do anything about it if they want to leave.

If Saints offered him 1.7 million not many people would complain. It is pity for them, they went a year early.

Crows will be laughing if they get him for under 1.4 million.

Yep, Lions will not be making Zac their highest paid player so I'd say our max offer would be 1.1 Million which is reportedly what Harris Andrews and Hugh McCluggage are on. There is talk we could offer him a very long deal to make up for what he is giving up in the short/medium term, say an extra 2 years on top of what other clubs are offering.

Unless the offer is 1.5 Minimum I think he stays, if we happen to grab the 3Peat this year I think it would make it more likely he stays to chase the QuadPeat.
