Exactly, but there's a justice to it given that player is taking his spot.

The pick that would be for Cordy effectively buys Jones, nil all draw, except on field where I think Jones' last AFL performances were far above Cordy's.

... he has been out for a while though, but let's be optimistic.

Having thought about this a bit more I don't think the Dogs had a chance to trade for Jones since he was uniquely removed from Carltons list. There might be a case for them to push with the AFL to get compensation from Cordy.

It will be very late regardless and that pick traded for Jones may well have been better than the compensation but process is process

surely we are better off taking a punt on mcasey from the crows,we are not winning the flag next year,but the age of mcasey & potential of a high draft pick that he was,at least has him in a realistic time frame for when we might contest
