It was only a relatively short interview. Inteviewed by Francis Leach and Luke Hodge.

- Francis Leach basically started by congratulating him on his nomination this week.
- Discussed how he has settled in at the club comfortably and had heaps of support from the leadership group. Also praised Lloydys leadership.
- Spoke about debuting with Quinny and how well he is adapting to the game and the new environment.
- Spoke about his seven goal effort in the VFL and his disappointment at not kicking one last weekend given his couple of attempts. Said he will fix that up this week with at least a goal against the blue baggers.
- Stated he was extremely excited about playing the blues this week. He said as an essendon supporter all his life, he had gone to many ess v carl/coll games and his dream was always to run out in the red and black against these two clubs.

He was pretty comfortable being interviewed. He is a very well spoken kid. What I love about this kid is how much he loves the club. He always sounds pumped. Other recruits never sound as excited as him. He is obviously living the dream. Living the dream of any Essendon supporter growing up. Its awesome!

That is what epitomised the Bombers as I was growing up - nobody seemed to love playing more for their team than Essendon players. Awesome to hear from the boy.

the best thing about those sorts of players is they get the absolute most out of their ability. pev is the classic example of that, and zaka seems to have a lot of ability

it's good that even after he's won a rising star nomination he's still expecting more of himself.
