Rod Crowe was reported by 2 umpires for charging Bryon Barry from first incident.

For the 2nd Incident a notice of investigation has been put in by the umpires for contact made by Matt Maguire on Frankston's Clinton Proctor head and neck. No doubt this will be looked at by the VFL on Monday. I believe the ABC have vision of the incident.

The VFL have launched a full investigation into incidents that happened in the game on Saturday that left 3 Frankston Players in hospital with head and neck injuries. Several players are believed to be looked at over the incidents.

Fine to look at incidents if players are badly hurt, but Goose's tackle isn't something Saints fans should worry about.

Very impressed with Stanley - got almost all the physical attributes (height, pace & leap), so hopefully he gets a clear run with injury while he puts a bit of meat on and learns a few tricks.

Eljay didn't look too bad - he's had so little of it in the games I've seen I didn't even know he was a left footer!!!

Lynch has got to stop dropping what are relatively straightforward marks - that's the second week in a row I've seen him spill a number of good passes. At his height he will need to make the most of opportunities to be able to contribute at AFL level.

Not real sure about Howard being in the best - some shocking kicks. But he's trying to use his pace now which is a good thing.

Good signs for Goose - 20 poss and 12 marks.

Eddy was obviously taken out of the squad for insurance against Freo.

Just finished watching the replay of the Zebs game which I recorded from Saturday. Was very impressed with Stanley (loving those white boots). Howard seems to be a very poor tackler, had numerous chances to lay tackles but was unable to do so.

Lynch did drop a few puds, but also did some very nice things.

Maybe when Bevo saw how well the young kid could run, he was actually running away.:D

I haven't heard anything about any actions resulting from such investigation (could not even find an article on there being an official invstigation), but thought that this from the 'local paper' is interesting :

http://bayside-leader.whereilive.com.au/sport/story/saintly-partnership/

Big Matt Maguire was excellent in defence but found himself in the spotlight later in the game for his bone-crunching tackle on Frankston’s Clinton Proctor, who was knocked unconscious.

Three Frankston players were taken to hospital, prompting Dolphins general manager Bryan Mace to ask the league to look at the video tape.

“It just seemed unusual that you get three neck injuries like that,” Mace said.

“Whether the tackling has been done a little bit differently I’m not too sure.

“I reckon in the AFL the tackling, in particularly at the St Kilda club, has gone up another level.”

good to see cahill get a run, hope he plays well

so begley in for Kozi???

I was listening to the soapbox on The Run Home yesterday and there was a very irate woman who was disgusted at Jason Gram. Apparently he was interviewed by another radio station after the game last week and when asked whether Goose was close to selection said something along the lines of him knocking an opposition player out so he must be close.

Kind of wrong, but I laughed. :)

how is miles going as he is named at full back?

He's actually named as an emergency for our team against Port.

That obviously begs the question, has he been promoted to the senior list?

He's going well at the Zebras but I would have thought there were a few other players in front of him in the pecking order.

Whatever the case, he's clearly made an impression on Lyon and the selection committee.

I would have thought there were a few other players in front of him in the pecking order.

This seems to be coming up each week - they name a ruckman, a tall and a runner as the emergencies.

Miles is still developing, but then I guess Begley (would have been next in line) has some sort of injury. We have Raph and Goose now both playing and Max to return in time.

Not sure whether "Humphrey" should be doing interviews - he referred to the Sandringham seniors as the ressies (Sunday Footy Show) - even though the VFL has asked the AFL players to stop doing this.

He also needs to do some more work on his kicking!

I think it sums it up brilliantly taking 2 parts of that article;

"AN off-the-ball incident"
"It was a fair tackle. The player still had the ball,"

Isn't it amazing that journos suddenly forget that in possession doesn't equate to off the ball since the ball is, well, right bloody there.

But then again you only need to look at the author of the piece, a one Craig Hutchison. The little monkey is trying to cause a stir to inflate his own ego in every state! This menace must be stopped!

Got down to watch but only stayed for the first quarter as it was the worst watching and playing conditions....just way to cold and wet and becuase of where the ground is situated the wind blew every kick sideways about 20 meters.

From what i saw, X is playing superb footy macca is rucking well, also covering the ground well and goose is just about ready. Goose looks as fit and strong as he has and was moving and playing very well.

Jack Steven is bloody fast, cant wait for him to develope into an afl footballer.

People need a life though complaining about that kind of stuff. Much the same with Jimmy Bartel on the footy show. Except what Jason Gram said was actually a lot less of deal, even though they were both non events.

It's AFL. There is concussions, tackles and injuries. Just life. :)

Lets hope Goose can crunch a few players in the seniors later on in the year.
