Last year a lot of crap was posted on to this board as it was largely unmonitored. This will not be the case in the coming year.

If you troll the Melbourne board you will receive an immediate and permanent ban from posting here.

The definition of a troll may vary, but essentially as long as your posts here are respectful to the fact this is a board for Melbourne supporters then you have nothing to worry about.

I have nothing against opposition supporters posting here, but if you cross the line you’re gone.

The zero tolerance policy is aimed at opposition supporters, Melbourne fans get the courtesy of warnings/suspensions etc.

But yes, if a Melbourne fan started 50 threads titled "Bring back Luke Williams" despite recieving warnings they would risk being banned.

thats fair enough nothing worse then an opps supporter giving heaps to the other team and it should not happen but sometimes it does as i say if you can not say something nice don't say it at all .

good luck with your team was hoping that they would get there into the finals at the end and was watching and chewing my nails at the same time but hopefully 2007 will be better for your guys

We do have a policy, it's just not enforced. We have people that do nothing but bag the club, but the mods just say 'they are allowed their opinion as well'. But that's a cop out because their opinions just change to whatever allows them to bag the club. And I would have thought when you make stuff up, then that is pretty clear cut when it comes to trolling.

I along with others have tried the ignore function, but that ends up being more annoying than the abuse itself. It's a shame really. People like to enjoy their footy and celebrate their clubs but others like to rain on the parade just for a bit of attention. And it just leads to a whole lot of arguing and bickering. Just have to put up with it I guess. There's not much one can do about these things.

there is opinion and then there is baiting/bagging etc you can have a good talk about the ups downs goods bads etc with an ops supporter but if it looks to be down right my team is better then yours yours su#k etc well then thats another kettle of fish i hope they sort that out for you Grim soon too
