Zoo's who

COLLINGWOOD is not only out of the finals race but is also having its nose rubbed in the dirt with the results of a survey with a difference conducted by this week's edition of Zoo Weekly.

Not only have the magazine's readers voted Mick Malthouse the AFL coach who fans love to hate, but skipper Nathan Buckley gets the title of the league's most hated player and his teammate Christ Tarrant is the mag's most overrated player, ahead of Fremantle's Jeff Farmer and disgruntled Brisbane Lions star Jason Akermanis.

But to complete the Magpie team effort, even its president Eddie McGuire picks up a gong, voted the league's most annoying commentator (not a bad effort by a bloke who hasn't called a game all season.)

The only other non-Magpie who rates a mention is Geelong's Cameron Mooney, who is voted the AFL's dirtiest player.

Meh, oh well.
Every league, in every sport, in every country has their "Collingwood team" that everyone hates and bags etc. It's nothing new, everyone knows how much they're hated. Every Pies lover is bias with the club and every Pies hater is bias against them, making a big deal of the bad publicity, bagging the good publicity and ignoring anything that contradicts any previous opinion.
It's no big deal really, as long as you love your won club you don't need to worry about what everyone else thinks of it.

No one rates Tarrant.

How does that work?

It doesn't say they dont rate him it just says he is overrated and that is probably because for years collingwood fans have gone on about him as if he is the 2nd coming but he is still yet to deliver on a consistant basis.

Zoo reader's are obviously bloody idiots if they consider Aker 'overrated'.

I think that magazines main demographic must be the Thursday morning bunch that meet out the front of Centerlink.

Why would Collingwood fans hate their own coach and players?

And your point?
This is the stuff that Pies supporters thrive on. Other's despising the CFC. Bring it on!

Ha, news flash, Collingwood, Magpies, Eddie, Collingwood, something, something, Collingwood….the rest. If we can get an update and a recount I am sure we can displace Mooney with Holland.

Good god Eddie is the worst commentator but he isn’t a commentator any more. He’s worse than all the other bad ones we heard just last week. Surely that says it all.

apparently 3 flags, a brownlow, 2nd in a norm smith (03) isnt much of an achievement

I didn't realise that Aker won those flags single-handedly?

The suggestion of being over-rated would perhaps mean that Aker didn't deserve those accolades, eg McLeod being ripped off in Rd 22 for the Brownlow in 2001.

:(

His Highness sending his love down the Beaconsfield well and the skivvy wearing showboating episode when buying a round of bourbons for the benefit of the camera, probably got him across the line.;)

As a football commentator?

We all know what get him across the line. He wasn’t over it until he became president of Collingwood. What really makes me laugh is when I read people on here say they hate Collingwood because of Eddie. It’s the other way around. Why did their fathers hate Collingwood? Why did just as many people hate Collingwood in 1998? Anyway, it’s all good for the machine those same people hate. They oil it every time they complain about it.

As for the miners, what do you think they would say about Eddie? Honestly what do you think?
