After an absolutely chaotic AFL Trade Period, it’s now time to look ahead to the next big date on the AFL calendar: the National Draft.

Dozens and dozens of picks were traded over the last two weeks, leaving the clubs in wildly different positions heading into the draft. Gold Coast will enter with the strongest hand, with four picks inside the top ten. Conversely, Hawthorn have the weakest and won’t make a selection until pick 88.

GWS fans will be pleased to see that they have the second-best draft position, but most of these selections will be bundled up for their Academy selections, some of which are expected to go high in the draft.

Again this year, points have been allocated to each draft pick for the purpose of academy and father-son selections. These range from 3,000 points for Essendon’s number one pick, all the way down to nine points for pick 73. Zero points are given for draft picks past 73.

So which clubs have the strongest position ahead of the National Draft on November 25?
