Western Bulldogs stand-in skipper Easton Wood has been handed a one-match suspension by the AFL Match Review Panel after being cited for his third ‘classifiable offence’ of the season for his body shot to Adelaide’s Mitch McGovern.

Levi Greenwood can count himself lucky after only being offered a week for his hit which left Essendon’s Zach Merrett in a daze. The Collingwood midfielder’s actions were deemed to be careless, rather than intentional, which led to the lesser sanction.

St Kilda’s Tim Membrey received the harshest penalty from the MRP, a two-week ban with an early plea for his strike on Richmond’s David Astbury, while Adelaide skipper Taylor Walker was fined for misconduct, after pushing Jason Johanissen into a goalpost on Friday night.

Drew Petrie, Robbie Tarrant and Luke Hodge were also fined for minor indiscretions.
