Well, it makes sense to. "If you keep playing good, we'll talk about another year". Nothing wrong with that. It's the gaming of the system though. If Smith puts forward "I played all but one game, so we're all sweet, right?" and that's accepted, then we're talking garbage.

Dunno... we were really efficient (didn't miss) and Port missed a lot (suck it port). On balance, I reckon if both teams kick to normal standards, we lose that game. We did do a good job of making Ports I50 entries wide and shallow, that's true. Still, Boak hit the post, Dixon missed a sitter...

Unless the world goes Topsy Turvy, there is no way TT isn't an upgrade on whichever of Gollant, Himmelberg and Burgess is in the team at that point.

Kinda, that's around the middle of the window, so should be a players absolute peak years. But an elite player for a long time... you've got to think age 24 through 29 is your tip top, should be at your bestest, you won't be this fit, this young, multiple preseasons under your belt again.

Think he got a bad leg knock in a tackle, but he was Ok.
