    Imo, Laura Kane was clearly out of her depth & should never have been appointed with her limited experience. Clearly the AFL have admitted they got it wrong with all the new football department appointments. This has nothing to do with her gender & all to do with her lack of experience.

    This issue with round 0 is they create an inequity with the fixture allowing half the teams to start a week earlier.

    A team that finishes in the bottom half gets to play finals & they may have a losing record. They get to make in near on impossible for the team who finishes 7th. This year, thay is Gold Coast who won 15 games with a percentage of 125 v Sydney who won 12 games with a percentage of 97.

    Basically prevents teams 7 & 8 to do any damage in the finals. Teams can now play finals with a losing record.

    AFL is currently obligated to an 18 team competition for TV rights... so wouldn't matter if Tasmania came in for Saints or Roos.

    So you rate the AFL leadership. Well I don't! Current CEO & his previous deputy have been the worse combination of the AFL era. Neither lawyer has a good understanding of football. 4 umpires has been a disaster.

    Personally i watch less games than ever... & I'm not alone. Imo the game is less watchable & that is on the AFL. Umpiring has never been worse & some games are boring.
