Maybe because so close to our goal? A Tiggs free would disadvantage us compared to a throw in. The same context would apply at their end. I don't mind it, if the dopey umpire is beyond any self confidence for something that occurred right under his nose in the goal teeth. They're Grand standers...
Thanks for that, was unaware, learn something each week.
You can tell that Conway is developing confidence- often looks to hand pass rather than trust a bomb, that he can load as a good kick. Something tells me they've encouraged him to play safe, work in progress, those big guys can be awkward...
Not for me. He gets beaten up on the wing- he has a chink in his game under pressure. Many times he has drifted down, and not strong/alert enough in more dangerous area for turnovers. I'm not potting Henry, we need him, he just shows more at home F50, and we have better wing players...
Just watched the replay and Rohan was great, especially last quarter. He was a bit BP tonight-the silent achiever. It's not like for like, although he is harder at the ball, more seasoned than Ollie. However I think he'll get in ahead of Neale.
I'd never mock- big fan of the big red!
The Kolo one makes my blood boil, should have been 50m. Smashed him across the face, so that's a head injury.
Kolo livid having to go off, parades his bloody face to the ump (in my mind lol)
Kudos for the fightback, and going on with it, this time getting the chocs. I think amidst the wrist slashing, some have forgotten how close our finishes have been, except for the Darwin wobbly.
Yes we're all aware they took their time to get into the groove, but I have to say that umpiring...
Can't recognise this game as we know it, with these rules encouraging the quick throw like rugby, and shit scared umps unwilling to pay any HTB. Just going to cause more injuries and frustration.
I see towrds the end of that quarter we started to do the block and get rougher, cos no frees.
Come...
Hey guys, I'm flying down today to catch this but want to take my laptop so I can work on the plane/train - are laptops allowed into GMHBA? I couldn't see anything listed on the Prohibited Items but am paranoid about travelling so far only to get turned away at the gate.
Good question. Should...
For those people backing Mannagh for a gig, they are still waiting for mini Mannagh to arrive.
Not that it matters much when the game is at home, perfectly acceptable to be named emergency while we run some seniors into form. You can't be drinking the Hardie cool aid and splat when you don't...
You'll be an early arrival, 5.00 pm.m- so shouldn't have too much trouble parking in the ground, the gate/room entry is on the Moorabool St side (see next post).

And there's the rub. The positive is there were so many entries, but when chances are continually missed it's deflating for supporters.
Roaming Jezza is starting to get to me almost on the angst level of roaming Brian. He's looking clumsy across the centre.
I wish he would stay home to lead and...
Made worse by the fact that we leave our run until too late = Panic. We've been patiently waiting for the Hawk revival, but they can't feed him playing behind or off the ball, and as you say, he can't fly to mark.
I've just watched STK's King take a classic mark in front, leading May. We don't...
Basically it came from bombs into our F50 during the last 4 minutes or so, with no poise or clear passing at all, unless you count directly to GWS. The tackles were not in question at this time across the ground- good from Clarke, Atkins, Bruhn.
It was tough on Ollie as the only flyer, he simply...
You speak the truth. This occurred not more than 20 metres from me, and absolutely lacked aggression or any forward thinking, nouse, effort or skill. GWS backs were great, underestimated. Rohan would not have stood idly by, and made a contest at least.
Stengle was spewing, and earlier Stewart...
Right. They'll just patch him up and roll him out again. Hopefully revitalised for a few games/months.
What choice otherwise? Conway still blooming, Blics stuffed, Neale in and out like a yoyo.
We don't have to like it, but it is what it is.
Not really, can't have both him and Touhy, as it's turned out, perhaps also someone like MOC and/or Mullin, has overtaken him. Bews can be proud-Been an integral player and fantastic servant of the Club, time to kiss goodbye and look forward to premiership reunions..
That is good measured intel from cats_09 but still, he has to get away from someone to accumulate so much.
Really, if that's the case, he's really not much different from Dempsey tonight. Cannot defend, or pick up an oppo player, panicked, looking around for a man. I was aghast.
I prefer the Pope in his bulletproof pope mobile. Like our MSC, bulletproof- they'll continue their shtick no matter what we say. But i get we should have a voice to each other, like venting in the GD thread, sometimes ridiculous, but fun.
We'll definitely go back to Stanley, it's a monty. No way will he sit out the rest of the season.
Scott seems to be very philosophical about Conway, and his expected input, who may be injured anyway.
Finally he says our midfield centre clearance has been a problem for the past 4 weeks. Obvious...
I like that Mullin idea, his kick into the mark instead of handpass was a bad choice, perhaps further downfield getting experience where mistakes can be recovered. It's not often presser Scott highlights a player by naming that incident as a turning point goal to Greene. Even if it was a bit arsey.
