    yes, I understand that, but on your logic, we'd keep delisting players until we could use pick 100 we're taking 3 picks to the draft, and 57 might - at long odds - figure as a piece to trade up. Otherwise, there's nothing lost And we still did a good turn to a young bloke who gave good service.

    We also hold 82 and 100, and they will be passed in just as every club passes in late round picks every draft. From everything that's written about this draft, if it gets to 50 it seems that will be about it, so whether its 57 or 64 is irrelevant. we got a good kid to a new home. end of.

    This. The other element to the exchange of (admittedly junk) picks is that it attaches some value to a player who's been a good soldier and a fan favourite. Shows some respect.

    I’m not sure I follow the logic of our friend on X. The tiers are a form of salary cap, and the cap in the men’s comp hasn’t stopped the premiers getting the best player from the bottom team
