    We also hold 82 and 100, and they will be passed in just as every club passes in late round picks every draft. From everything that's written about this draft, if it gets to 50 it seems that will be about it, so whether its 57 or 64 is irrelevant. we got a good kid to a new home. end of.

    This. The other element to the exchange of (admittedly junk) picks is that it attaches some value to a player who's been a good soldier and a fan favourite. Shows some respect.

    I’m not sure I follow the logic of our friend on X. The tiers are a form of salary cap, and the cap in the men’s comp hasn’t stopped the premiers getting the best player from the bottom team

    Yep. I know that we're up and about, but Melbourne have some weapons - a Garner-level elite mid in Hore, and two KPFs who can do the business. They're the side I'm worried about

    I can't see us trading out of next year; if there's any movement you'd think it would be packaging up this years picks, but from what the club is saying, they're happy with what we've got this year (and so am I tbh - progress next year has to come from within)

    Another idle thought, having watched the replay - Amy Gavin Mangan's contested work has improved out of sight in a couple of weeks; seems to now really relish the contact. Probably likely to miss the cut for the finals team, which just confirms how good the squad is

    Just another idle thought, Hetherington looking a very astute pick up. I think she could be outreached by some of the taller rucks, but strong enough to give a contest in there and does great in open play, so must have the mobility Good trade
