    AFL Player # 4: Kyle Langford - Bent the knee, announces 2042 Father-Son/Daughter Pick - 11/06

Looked a little sore and missed opportunity to give him a extended rest before the bye. I'd play caddy instead against the Eagles if not 100% after the bye. Could leave caddy in for a few weeks and drop whoever out of Wright/Jones doesn't perform against the Eagles or when langford is ready.

AFL Autopsy RND 13: Done By The Blues

I think byran is judged harsher than both draper and goldy. If they play similar games this forum and selection committee will judge byran a lot more harshly than the others. Byran is 22 year old ruckman who shows good signs in vfl and enough when given a shot at afl level.

We do seem better coached this year. Been off in few aspects the last few weeks but have been able to adjust and still be competeive. Martin moving up the ground, Cox fwd last week. Think our adjustment from bombing it long to then lowering the eyes and looking central after half time was good...

    Team Mgmt. 2024 Forward Line

We also lack a presence Key fwd but if playingbtwo rucks draper/caddy should fill that void. Guess what we are hoping with daveys but haven't seen it yet. Whilst not that small saad el hawi definitely had some excitement and x factor on the vfl so get him in.

    Team Mgmt. 2024 Forward Line

We lack bit of x factor fwd. Stringer has it, but no smalls have it. Almost everyone has a livewire small. Not sure we have a small capable of kicking 3 in a quarter or 4 or 5 for a game. Guelfi is more a defensive/pressure fwd. Not sure see him crumbing or taking speccies often. Strangely...

AFL Autopsy RND 13: Done By The Blues

Effort and ability to make adjustments was good but poor goal kicking hurt. Had our chances against a top 2 team and we legitimately are in every game at the moment. 2 weeks in a row let games slip but didn't expect wins so still hopeful for the 2nd half of the year. Still need to get games...

    Game Day Round 13 - Essendon v **** Carlton, MCG, Sunday 9/6/24, 7.20pm AEST

Jeez tsatas has had some ugly moments. Hoping just confidence thing but struggling to make contact.

He gets a few possessions but is slow and gets exposed defensively.

    Game Day Round 13 - Essendon v **** Carlton, MCG, Sunday 9/6/24, 7.20pm AEST

We had our chances and actually held up against there mids despite goldy being beaten by de konig. just few too many passengers, players who have been down for a while and needing the bye. Regroup and inject some caddy, byran, saad, roberts into the side and will be okay.

    Game Day Round 13 - Essendon v **** Carlton, MCG, Sunday 9/6/24, 7.20pm AEST

Goldy struggling in the ruck. Wright a bit off as well. Wonder if byran and caddy are a option as replacements. Or Wright out and we play two rucks again. Caddy is fairly mobile

    Game Day Round 13 - Essendon v **** Carlton, MCG, Sunday 9/6/24, 7.20pm AEST

Perkins confidence is shot. Surely tsatas, Saad el hawi, or shiel deserves a shot whilst he builds some confidence back. He used to back himself to much but I'll take that version over this apprehensive one. Fluffed two golden opportunities.

Preview Round 13: Essendon Bombers vs Carlton Blues - Battle of the Consolidation Prizes - MCG - Sunday 9th June - 7:20pm

Langford still a chance but I'd be reluctant to play him. Think it's more important we are in good shape and firing after the bye then this game. Why I'd also leave goldy out. With bye to come this our mid season freshen up. Pretty good last week but list looks tired and if a few are carrying...

Preview Round 13: Essendon Bombers vs Carlton Blues - Battle of the Consolidation Prizes - MCG - Sunday 9th June - 7:20pm

Caddy for langers. Setterfield for redman. Roberts for menzie. And sub. Tsatas into team. I like debuting players on big occasions, particularly when we have nothing to lose.

AFL Autopsy RND 12: Loss To The Suns

I like byran but is he that great a athlete. 2 disposals in a half, should have been able to work over Moyle but got dominated in 2nd half when suns got on top. A link up chain ruckman. Bit to work with but fair bit to go

2 to byran, 9 to Moyle

    AFL Player #24: Nick Bryan

Yeah unfortunately did it for a half but struggled when suns dominated possession. When you need the ruck to get back take 1 or 2 marks or bail out kicks.

    AFL Player #24: Nick Bryan

Not sure he got smashed, it was 1 half each for similar impact. Draw. However, 2 disposals in a half is not good enough for a follow up ruckman as opposed to a physical intimdator type. If he could string a full game together, would be pretty handy. Think the issue is not many 20 game young...

    AFL Player #24: Nick Bryan

Great first half but 2 to 9 disposals in the second half. For a accumulator ruck, still a fair bit off. You can't have your around the ground work as your strength and have 2 touches in a half and no marks for the game. Does he lack endurance? Ability to help out the defence when other team on...

AFL Player # 9: Dylan Shiel

Crazy how much shiel has dropped off. Doesn't work with merret and parish but surely worth bring him in with parish out. We lacked pace against tigers. Or body is too cooked now. What injuries have derailed him completely.

    AFL Toast Dreamtime Winning

One thing that really stood out tonight was how many times together players got back to feet quicker after a contest. Credit to tigers the were up for it in terms of effort. 2 afl sides have beaten us in terms of effort the last two weeks and we still have won. Those two sides are the worst...

AFL Player #16: Archie Perkins - Re-signed for two more years - 3/6

Crook or injured? Seen him look lost and make poor decisions but tonight he looked slow and disinterested. Hadn't noticed that before from perkins. Wasn't usual upbeat, smiling self. I didnt watch the celebration or song to see if he upbeat there. But may have just been down on his own...

Preview Round 12: Essendon Bombers vs The Gold Campaigners* - Thirsty People Stadium - Sunday 2nd June - 4:00pm

Would you bring shiel in as our no. 2 accumulator mid? Or am I clutching at straws. Who's our no.2 behind merret atm? Hoping perkins isn't injured but he has had poor games before but for me even when poor always had purpose and explosiveness. Looked disinterested and sluggish.

    AFL Toast Dreamtime Winning

Suns beat a lot of good sides at home. Would be shocked if we win as we are due for a loss and in a bit of slump. But we banked two wins and got some games into players. We are just going at the moment as have been up since port. Due for a slump so hopefully only lasts 2-3 weeks. Own advice...

Preview Round 12: Essendon Bombers vs The Gold Campaigners* - Thirsty People Stadium - Sunday 2nd June - 4:00pm

Injuries and inexperience taking its toll. Seem a bit disorganised and we are getting in each others way. Merret only midfield leader/organiser left. So think we need shiel or mcgrath in there asap. A inexperienced mid group with goldy getting spanked in the ruck last two weeks hasn't helped...

Preview Round 12: Essendon Bombers vs The Gold Campaigners* - Thirsty People Stadium - Sunday 2nd June - 4:00pm

Midfield needs a change. Cox, goldy, davey. Perkins? Sheil, byran, Menzies. Hobbs? Is perkins injured? looked slow and/or disinterested. So not sure on hobbs and perkins status. If shiel is only midfield support we can bring in, controversial but I'd bring in roberts and get...

    AFL Toast Dreamtime Winning

Showed the gaps we still have, particularly around the middle. Didn't like the half back intercept style of game style, we accepted. Ridley and redman great but it's not a winning style overall. Looked tired and overused it a lot by hand in the first half. Perkins, heppel, goldy looked slow...

    AFL Player #24: Nick Bryan

Get him in. Nakervis gave goldy a both around stoppages. May have done the sane to byran but think he would have exposed him the other way. Heck goldy did it by not moving, being tired, Imagine If byran could have a linking up breaking to the wing.

Recruiting AFL Trade & Free Agency XII - 💰💰💰

Calls to trade parish are a bit overblown. Market for him not huge as seen by restricted free agency and ultimately his resigning on clubs terms. Probably a year or two too long but he is still our 2nd best mid and midfield general. We still lack a elite number 2. If merret misses a game...

Went to ground a bit and some poor kicks. Also need to work on his positioning when he is next down the line. Was good though and had a crack.
