If I was in charge, I'd be selecting assuming we won't be making finals now. And I'd be sounding out other clubs to look at trades, already.

The bottom 6 or so players in our best 22 are not that great. They can all be replaced by better players. And we still don't have enough elite top end talent. We can occasionally jag a game with big performances from our best players, but the drop off in quality after say, 15th selected...

Given that, have we had the worst draw in the comp? Must be close. We've already played all the teams at the top of the "momentum ladder", excluding Sydney... who we get twice, and the run home is a nightmare.

Kinda, that's around the middle of the window, so should be a players absolute peak years. But an elite player for a long time... you've got to think age 24 through 29 is your tip top, should be at your bestest, you won't be this fit, this young, multiple preseasons under your belt again.
