The Reddog hangs up the boots.
Absolute Champ, Club first person and crushed it completely in 2018.

Always sad news when a great Clubman retires, he is the heart and soul sort of player that goes unheralded but is essential to winning a Premiership.

In the same category as Stenglein and Lamb.

Terrific acquisition.
Lamb. You mean Tom Lamb. 😂 Surely not in the same category.

Everything indicated that he could go on and still have an impact next year. Would love to know what happened in the exit interview with Simo
With a third little one on the way it’s a tough gig, especially for a player from here. The travel and absence must be pretty tough on the family.

Wow, absolutely wasn't expecting this. As others have said, huge in 2018 and a big reason why we were able to produce the tough, contested footy that has otherwise eluded us at times. Had a great season this year too

Well that is a surprise.

He has proven to be a terrific clubman and one of our key pillars in our 2018 flag. Unheralded but I think he’s someone you would have liked to have played with. Genuine 2 way runner.

Does leave an immediate gap in our midfield for our younger mids to work towards over off season. But i think we will miss Reddo.

Unexpected call, but appreciate him even more for this selfless act (as per quotes in media release re where the club is going).
Exemplifies him as a person, always put the team first instead of stat padding or chasing personal accolades and this is no different.

This god damn mutha****ing club

Super pissed about this. Reddo was one of our only reliable oldies and we have pushed him out the door.

Chill. Sounds like he made the decision of his own accord.

Ah what a bummer. Pretty much our most reliable player for the past few years - definitely in the midfield group. Wouldn't have begrudged him playing on.

Absolute champion and a huge factor in the 2018 flag. All the best to him for his post footy career.

Him and Waters were different players but both were great clubmen that played with their hearts on their sleeves

The ultimate Clubman.

Really hoping post retirement we can keep Redden, Sheppard and Nicnat around.

The only other two i want around the club long term are Kennedy and Hurn however jk is off up north and im certain Hurn will go back to the farm.

We love you red dog we do.
