I heard some hear even compare us to Richmond and that it would be zillions of year's before we play final's again but guess again,
next year we will be playing finals for these reasons.

1. You can easily build a team around Nic Nat, Kennedy, M Lecras, Hurn

2. We will most likely have a new coach and staff that will change the team by getting rid of the crap ie... skills coach

3. We still have Cox, Kerr, Glass, Waters,

4. More development into Swift, Masten, Shuey, Sheppard, Ebert, Paddy, McKenzie, M Brown, Stevenson, and likely pick 8 and the rest of our potential young guns.

5.We have ok Rookie players in Hams, Cockie, Hollihan,

6. Have a proper pre-season instead of the fake one that we had this year.

We have a list that is easier to turn around then say Richmond, Adelaide,
and other rebuilding sides.

M Voss will wish he had our lot, when Brisbane fall in the coming years

Re: Were playing finals in 2011

I thought from the header that we were toast as far as playing finals in 2011 ..

Re: Were playing finals in 2011

we would be in the finals this year if our ex premiership players played like they did 4 years ago, its hurting us the most.

Rearrange the midfield, put some players in there who can spot up a player and we don't have a bad team at all. Le Cras will be unstoppable in there. Let's hope a new coach will see his midfield value.

[sarcasm]yep 2010 is an abhorration

it didnt happen, and the team will be back to its winning habits next year in a miracle because they all want to play for worsfold

[/sarcasm]

how about: "no" ?

Yep this is the most painful thing. To quote EH, Woosha is playing 'spud tetris' right now. They're picking our most experienced/physically ready 22 and just shuffling them into position.
That's understandable if your playing finals and trying to minimize all weaknesses... but for a developing team, that's almost suicide.

LeCras is clearly our best option as an offensive mid but if you put him there, that would push out an experienced mid like Priddis/Selwood. Every other coach (bar Neil Craig maybe) would first pick their best midfield, then build around that.

As long as he continues that philosophy, we are no chance of finals.

There are so many things wrong with this that I don't know where to start.
Will you be complaining about the same players in another four years?

That's the funny thing about peaking. Afterwards, things aren't as good.

lolwut

B: Will Schofield (21.3y, 19g), Darren Glass (28.11y 194g), Beau Waters (24.1y, 67g)
HB: Scott Selwood (20.1y, 28g), Eric MacKenzie (21.11y, 27g), Shannon Hurn (22.8y, 68g)
C: Matt Rosa (23.5y, 74g), Matt Priddis (25.1y 70g), Brad Ebert (20.1y, 38g)
HF: Brad Sheppard (18.11y, 0g), Josh Kennedy (22.8y, 51g), Mark Nicoski (26.5y, 83g)
F: Ashton Hams (23.8y, 3g), Quinten Lynch (27.3y, 152g), Mark LeCras (23.8y, 68g)
Foll: Nic Naitanui (20y, 16g), Adam Selwood (26y, 123g), Tom Swift(19.10y, 14g)
I/C: Dean Cox (28.9y, 186g), Patrick McGinnity (21.2y, 12g), Ben McKinley (23.2y, 37g), Lewis Stevenson (20.9y, 1g)
Emg: Mitchell Brown(21.4g, 29g), Bradd Dalziell(23.1y, 18g), Ashley Hansen(27.2y, 78g)

As you can see, we're a very young and inexperienced team.

We may not be completely dropping the older players, but we're sure as shit getting the kids through.

Shannon Hurn is only 22 WTF.
Feel's like his been in the system for years now and his only 22.
just 2 years older then Nic Nat.

Apparently we can challenge for a flag when we have around 10 players with 100 games or more playing, so far we have 7 and only 3 of them will be around in a couple of years.

Our next group is around 65 games so its going to be 2012 before we are looking at top 4.
