It's of German Mennonite origin ("w" pronounced similar to a "v" sound, "oe" = "eh"), quite a common surname in Canada. I knew a couple of Toews.

Why do Fox Sports always go with the b-grade generic feed for big games. They did it with the Stanley Cup Final, now the All Star Game. What makes it even sillier is that they had the NBCSN feed of the skills challenge.

Thank God for Game Centre so I can still get an NBCSN feed of the game.
