No big deal if he doesn't reach the level of Mitchell. If he does we'd basically be saying he is the most poised and skilled mid in the game. Unlikely.
I know you asked Bond, but a quick look at Agius' stats for the year might explain why he wasn't drafted.
18 games of SANFL reserves, under 18s and nationals for a disposal average of 11.
He can play. Can do some uncanny things, pull a goal out of his arse, take a speccy etc. Saw someone mention they 'heard' he has super poor disposal, I disagree. He has solid enough everything, but his DE% would probably be low as he looks like he wants to do the most difficult thing every time...
Since I posted that there has been a fair bit of info posted on him here.
He was always going to be rated more highly by recruiters than Bigfooty posters. They look more at what a player could be if all their attributes (physical and skills) consistently come together working in a full-time...
I reckon we'll take Cunningham with our first, bid for Himmelberg 2nd and take Marcus Adams with our last pick.
Cunningham averaged 20 touches and 5 clearances for Oakleigh. In a shallow draft with a heap of players with question marks on them, his explosive speed, balance, lateral movement...
Average. Saw him play in Geelong. Big, but may as well be small (had no presence out there) mostly outside, didn't notice his touches (not damaging) and he's notte quick.
The great man Callum Twomey has put up a draft related article. Guessing (maybe educated from talking to recruiting people) each clubs possible first pick.
Had Ryan Clarke for us, with David Cunningham (mid), Hibberd and some other guy who I've forgotten as other possibles.
