Miles is looking elsewhere I thought? Freo should definitely stick to a first round pick for Weller, the boy is class.
I'd think if we were involved it would be our first going to Freo, Weller and our future first going to GC with Lynch coming to us. I think we might score a late pick back our...
I love the way people act like players are knocking back Collingwood at the moment. As if no player has ever gone to a bottom 10 side. They then sook about how we are not linked to players, followed by claiming that all players are linked to us because it raises their coin.
Man, it really...
Your posts are all laughably negative. You have this idea in your head that Collingwood are a laughing stock. We finished a couple of games out of the 8 and were probably the most consistently competitive team who didnt make the 8.
Lever is a good player no doubt, but we have Howe and Langdon who i think play similar roles. We need a bigger bodied key defender and forward. The other clear need is a small defensive back who can use the ball well.
Wish we would stop kicking the ball to Blair on a lead in the forward line. So often it leads to a turn-over and goal. Smith has cost us 2 goals so far aswell. For a soft player he doesn't have the skills. Apart from the top effort all around. WHE looks close to a break out performance.
I know woulda coulda's are bad, but GWS and Adelaide wins would see us borderline 8 right now. We aint far off.
THis game was as poor a game of footy i have seen. Glad we won though.
HIs name has been mentioned a few times but I don't get it. To me he is similar to Goldsack. Kinda stop gap filler and does ok without being amazing. If you put him in our team I can't see where he will improve. He is not a key forward or a keyback.
We pretty much dominated that game. So many more inside 50s and shots on goal. Just our forward structure sucks so bad! Jordan was huge as was Langdon down back. I reckon Dunn can keep his head held high aswell as a lot of the lads. What an awesome win!
Is Sutherland a bit of a risk to draft? let's say he has a tough first year, and injury or two. What are the odds of him saying ok, i'll go have a crack at cricket instead?
All of our forwards want to be the marking player. It annoys me to no end how our forward line has about 20 players in it everytime we move forward and the opposition constantly hit up free players inside 50. You basically have Moore, and then 4 guys who all play the same. Crocker, Fasolo...
He also brought the ball to ground for Broomhead's goal. So he directly contributed to 4 goals. Imagine if we had a crumber and told them to run of him. The Hawks defenders sure knew he would bring the ball to ground, but unfortunately we have all players who want to mark instead of crumb.
If he wasnt american, how excited would we be about a new guy taking 3 big contested marks and kicking straight? Not to mention how underutilised he was with delivery yesterday!
Richmond's list isn't really much better than ours anyway. The 2 areas they smash us in are key backs and small forwards. They are a great example/ and the bulldogs as well/ of how the system and buy in from everyone is as important as the list.
If they want a trade, the club gets the trade picks or players back in return. "contract means nothing" is bullshit driven by fans who think that everything should revolve around their own club. The clubs sign the contract, it's their fault if they decide the player needs to go and they refuse...
